We travelled to Ballarat for an evening meal with our son who lives in a rural area of Ballarat. We looked for a nice, moderately priced place to stay near the centre of the city. The Ballarat Central City Motor Inn fitted all our requirements. The room and bathroom were very clean and modern. It had everything you expect to... More

We've stayed here before quite a few times years apart and still my recommendation of this place stands. Tidy and clean rooms, comfy feel throughout. The bed was comfy and the extra warm blanket was great! Clean bathroom and a nice shower. Mini bar was great, telly was on for our arrival which I personally think is a nice welcoming... More

The owner was very friendly and welcoming, easily giving me advice about getting to sites around town. Room was clean and comfortable, great shower. Some noise from the road traffic outside, ok with earplugs.

Stayed here for one night and was very pleased. At the start of the city centre, 5mins walk from two supermarkets. The rooms were well presented, renovated and very clean. Beds were reasonably comfy. We were at the front on the main road into town, which was noisy with traffic up until about 10pm. I use earplugs and slept well.... More

Looked up reasonably priced hotels in ballarat and found this little gem. Had a lovely welcome from the guy on reception, he was so friendly and helpful when we asked about local eateries. Room was spotless, beds comfortable and shower was great. Previous guests had mentioned traffic noise but we didn't get disturbed by it at all. Free wifi and... More

Was really happy with my stay here weekend just gone. Very comfortable rooms, nicely renovated, comfortable bed, rooms a good size and friendly service. Rooms even have a toaster, microwave, kettle and crockery and cutlery, so you can sort of self cater. Very central, across the road from the supermarket and short walk to shops, cafes and restaurants. The only... More

Pros: Location. It is wisely situated in Ballarat City Centre. The room is clean and I like the room arrangement (im fussy about the main door and bathroom door facing the bed). Its exactly as shown in the pictures. Basic but cozy. They offer informative flyers for tourists at the reception and the owner was kind enough to offer suggestions... More

Hi, thanks for your review. I'm glad the room was to your liking. In regards to breakfast, the booking site you booked the room on would have stated to bring the confirmation letter of your booking. If you had we would have seen breakfast written on that. Unfortunately as we advertise on so many sites it is hard to remember... More

A really comfortable, clean and cosy stay is what my family and I had when we stayed at the Ballarat Central City Motor Inn. No complaints at all with any aspect. Very comfortable beds which is always a bonus.

Very welcoming people. Our stay was in the family apartment. It was perfect. Two bedrooms, lounge and kitchen with everything you need. Very central for everything we wished to do. Highly recommended. Will stay again.

“Upstairs room was nice, with balcony looking over town. My room was by the stairs, which meant I had some noise from people going up and down, so if I was in Ballarat again I'd ask for a room away from the stairs.”
