I wish every hostel was like this one. Very clean, big rooms, plenty of bathrooms, cozy living room, and cute patio. The kitchen is big and very well stocked. There were all walks of life and everyone was clean and quite. It's absolutely not a party hostel. It's the type of place where you feel like you're coming home after... More

I stay here fairly frequently, it has a nice atmosphere, I have never had a bad experience of any kind, the owners are lovely and extremely professional, the place is so clean (as many guests have remarked to me). It does have a holiday home feeling, home away from home feeling. I've met many interesting and lovely people staying there.... More

This place was very pleasant, clean, well set-up and equipped (it had everything but one thing - soap dispensers in the loos!). Well-heated and excellent showers. 15 m walk from town centre. As an adapted domestic home, it was cosy. Very pleasant courtyard with tables etc.

We spent almost 4 weeks at Bendigo Backpackers and felt right at home from the first day. It was amazing to be able to stay in a private room on a backpacker budget, a luxury! Michelle is a great and very nice as well as very professional manager - we felt like we could discuss anything with her and she... More

So clean, warm, friendly and central. I didn't get there in time for reception but it was all too easy. Text message with door code, inside to a lovely warm clean home away from home. I was lucky enough to have paid for a share room but had it all to myself.

This is the second time I have been here within a month and it is a really nice clean friendly place to go. Good facilities very close to town centre about a 5min walk. Why stay in a motel and meet no one stay at the backpackers and meet new people from all walks of life

What a awesome place to stay, clean, comfortable, had everything we needed in the kitchen, was able to walk to pictures and also the city centre. Was also able to walk to one of the basketball venues without driving. Met some wonderful families that where staying there as well, car was safe. Totally recommend this place to stay.

First and last time we will come here. Paid in advance but when we got there tried to hit us for more money by spinning a bunch of garbage. showed him the bank transaction but told us could leave if we wanted too, this was like 1015 at night so paid for another night. Then several minutes later came into... More

Dear Guest, The Bendigo Backpackers has a new owner/manager as of July 2014. My husband Scott is the only person who does late check ins. He is not the person who you are referring to in your post, as Reception at the Bendigo Backpackers closes at 8.00 pm. Does your review relate to past managers: was it this July (2015)... More

We booked in for one night with a family of four. There were bunkbeds for the kids which they were very excited about, and a large bed for my husband and I, in a good sized room with our own sink. The house was lovely, the rooms clean. It's a shared bathroom situation and these are clean with plenty of... More
