nice clean amenities, close to the city center. well-kept grounds, indoor pool. no problem in recommending the place. our room had a view of the jetty and traffic which was an added bonus will visit in the future.
Before writing this evaluation, I wrote both to the hotel (satisfaction survey) and the hotel's parent company, but after 3 days with no answer, I decided to post my opinion. Hope this will make the people in charge to produce an explanation to show their concern and action to avoid the same bad experience to other guests. The hotel is well located and the rooms are comfortable. But on the second day we found that although housekeeping have come to the room, they just emptied the trash e pulled up the sheets on the bed (see photo attached). Anything else. I complained immediately, reception gave me some fresh towels and told me would write a message to housekeeping about what happened. Next morning I ask reception about this message (nothing was sent), explained what happened and was informed that the rooms (our group booked two) would be made up properly. As we returned to the hotel, we found the same mess. We left (on purpose) a towel on the floor (see attached photo), and it remained there. Went to reception again, angry. Talking to the hotel's representative I found out that no one was really feeling compelled to solve the problem. Everybody I talked to simply said "our apologies" but forgot about the incident immediately. No concern about the guest's experience. It's an expensive hotel, the booking was pre-paid, it was a big disappointment to be treated like this. Lakes Entrance is fabulous, the hotel has enormous potential, but do need to review the poor service (and poor management) that my group experienced. Hope this message will contribute to process and management review.…
The apartment had fabulous waterfront views and the layout of the apartment was good, unfortunately that’s where it ended. I rang to book accomodation personally, as I use a walking aid and needed ground level and walk in shower. I was given a price which I accepted only to be told that was wrong, it was an online price, and I had to pay extra. It didn’t end there, the day before I received an email advising me to complete an online check in. Can’t understand why! On arrival the apartment was clean but needed a lot of attention. The cold water tap in the bathroom was hard to turn on and off, kept dripping. There was a handle missing from a cupboard. The chipboard under the fridge was rotting, the toilet bowl actually moved, wasn’t secured properly, overall the unit needed a lot of maintenance, especially when you’re paying top prices these things don’t go unnoticed.…
The hotel has 2 floors. Unfortunately we stayed in a room on the ground floor and we were kept awake by the ridiculously loud noise from the rooms above. The folks in the room above weren't doing anything wrong - it just seems that the ceilings are paper thin in this hotel and we could hear every footstep and door closing. Not to mention that every time the room above us turned on the tap or shower, the water noise coming into our room was ridiculously loud. A real shame - as apart from the noise, the room was very nice, spacious and well appointed.
Room is ok, dated but spacious. Some things that’d reflect it’s $264 a night price tag would be a smart tv that had access to streaming channels and a Nespresso or similar pod machine (not instant sachets). It’s 2022 not 2003. Also, the walls are paper thin so you hear your neighbours’ showers, toilets flushing and kids’ squealing.
Followed the confirmation paperwork proctor hotel and paid according to directions of document. Hotel then proceeded to charge our credit card as well. Contacted them about the error and rude staff told us that it was our mistake and how we are making their jobs more difficult. Waited 24 hours before they even started the process of refunding the money. Not one person offered any sort of an apology. Whole experience was marred by incredibly rude staff
Loved our stay here. Very easy to book online and also offer on line check in…. So checking in on arrival took about 2 minutes …. Excellent experience. Outstanding Room ( 56 ) …. Upstairs, waterfront with a large window overlooking the fishing port, large room with spa, quiet, very comfortable and AirCon was already on making our room very cosy on arrival on a very chilly late afternoon. Off street parking and is located close to a range of dining options nearby. On site restaurant ( Albert & Co. ) only does breakfast & lunch …no dinner. We opted to dine across the road, on the wharf at Soda Fish. Excellent food & service …. A little pricey though. One of our most enjoyable stays in recent months… thank you!
We stayed over the Easter weekend and had the most horrible experinece. From the time we arrived, the room smelt of rotten seafood. After paying over $300 for the night we were extremely disappointed as management were unable to move our rooms as it was the Easter weekend and they were fully booked. Had to put up with the stench for our whole stench. Not happy with the way management handled the issue.
Lovely room with a fantastic view, very comfortable bed, impeccably clean and best shower of our two week touring holiday. close to shops and RSL Club and plenty of off street parking. Loved the cocktail bar.
Paid close to $300 for a night in a Lake View Spa Suite. At that price point it's not unreasonable to expect a reasonable quality and comfortable bed. The bed was as hard as they come, with little give for body pressure points such as shoulders, hips and knees. As a consequence I had a very poor night's sleep and the following day had to take pain killers as my shoulders were particularly agitated. On examining the mattress it was obvious it was quite old and from a low cost mattress factory. It definitely wasn't in the same league as Sealy, King Coil, and Maddison beds found in quality accommodation. The room was spacious but quite dated and bathroom fittings were from the eighties with obvious wear and tear. The view was ok but not as spectacular as portrayed in the advertising blurb. Full credit to the cleaning staff for making such a dated room feel clean and hygienic. There is no breakfast included in the tariff and the dining option is part of a separate business called Albert & Co. Albert & Co do a first rate breakfast and their coffee and food is of a high standard. Their staff are also pleasant and helpful which is more than what I could say for Bellevue's front-of-house staff. Bellevue's staff were quite perfunctory and failed to offer up-to-date information; such as, you didn't require a password to access WiFi which was contrary to that stated on the room card holder. My best advice to someone wishing to visit Lakes Entrance is to stay somewhere else, and dine at Albert & Co which is open to the public, and not restricted only to Bellevue's guests.…
