Booked a Superior Queen Room, nothing special even though it cost more, poor shower head, noisy toilet that kept making noise through the night every hour or so, no view even though stated, no restaurant even though advertised, rooms are getting a little dated, bed was comfortable although the pillows were not
I left my backpack in the room and was unable to go back. Ken, who was friendly and professional during our visit did not hesitate in offering to post it back to me. I will definitely be going back to Banjos on our next visit!
Lovely service, very clean, very comfortable, minimal noise, nice sized rooms, very good overall. Nice seating on balcony. Toaster, microwave, kettle & crockery provided. Small pool area also. Great location. On site parking (though does get full) Very happy to stay.
This is no longer a Best Western. The room is fine - well maintained and cleaned. Just hope you never need to deal with the owner or require some additional help or service. In our case we arrived to find a spa in the room - unexpected bonus - then to realise it had been disabled. However when asking for a plug to use the bath tub (without jets) the answer was “no”. The owner was unidentifiable as a hospitality manager in his pyjamas and didn’t introduce himself when he came to the room to “help” us. If, like us, you’d like to use the tub, you can purchase bath plugs at the nearby supermarket
Avoid this joint at all costs. Firstly I completely understand that hotels have had it tough during covid however it doesn’t excuse the dirty and poorly maintained rooms and still charging close to $200 a night for “budget” accom. There is construction going on too, and no comments on this when you are booking. There is drilling nextdoor starting at 7.30 am. The rooms are in such bad shape, tv or aircon don’t work, dusty, mouldy bathrooms, dirty windows, old facilities. Where do I start? We moved to another room due to our tv and aircon not working and moved to a room right beside a construction site. We unfortunately booked two nights with. I refund, however this is false advertising and j will be following this up with the establishment. I would have avoided this place for the construction and the sorry dirty state of the rooms AVOID…
Firstly I’d like to state that we stayed here during the COVID pandemic and what would have normally been peak season for Lakes Entrance and Banjo Patterson Motor Inn, which was heavily booked and perhaps a little more expensive per night than I thought it should have been, but these are unprecedented times. I commend the establishment for how clean the room and premises were, for the contactless check in and out and the little “token system” they had in place for contactless communication during your stay, which is basically you placing a different coloured token on the front of your door based on what you needed, fresh linen or to check out, for example. I would recommend this place if you are passing through town on the way to somewhere else and need somewhere to stay the night, or if you plan on staying multiple days but don’t plan on being in your room for very long: it’s a place to shower and a place to sleep, that’s all. There is a pool but beyond that there isn’t too much else to do on the premises, which was a shame for us because unfortunately the weather was not on our side and we were bound to our room for much of our stay. This is not the fault of the motel by any stretch, it’s just a reality you’d have to face should you find yourself room-bound. We did have a small issue with the television not picking up any stations at times which made being forced inside a little more tedious, but these things happen. The bedding is more comfortable than you may assume and the location is absolutely perfect, you’re pretty much right in the middle of everything and after just a short walk you are wherever you want to be. At the end of the day Banjo Paterson Motor Inn delivers what it promises and that’s really all you could expect. …
Spa Bath didn't work and when I asked if I could have a plug he basically told me the spa was disabled due to Covid, Very disappointing , Hairdryer didn't work. Restaurant was not open and according to previous reviews, it hasn't been open for quite some time, the restaurant was one of the reasons we booked this motel. Property was old and owner showed lack of interest. Contactless check in because of Covid19 but really just an excuse to do not much. Don't just take my word for it, read other reviews
Location was close to the Main Street, so we could easily walk down there. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Pool and bbq area were nice. Pool was a bit on the chilly side and the bbq took a while to heat up. But other than that, super cheap affordable place that is clean.
Renovated and clean and comfortable only complaint is that there is no housekeeping done over weekends and Monday pubilic holidays. No more tea/coffee topped up no clean cups etc very disappointed so don’t stay there over weekend only during the week
So much potential but didn’t feel quite clean enough for me, musty smell and coffee rings from past guest in bathroom. Add to that no toilet paper and the basin blocked it all added up to be a tad disappointing Price was good - that’s about it
