Stayed here for about two months and felt very at home. On first impressions it will likely put most people off but if you can get past that you'll feel very at home. It's a backpackers hostel so expect to see a lot of drinking and hungover people. The Tv room is great to lounge in and watch the movie...

The room smelled of stinky feet and mold the four days a stayed, the room have very little ventilation and I would wake up feeling sick from the smell. It is cheap which is nice and a fine place if you're spending minimal time in the room but I was so incredibly happy when I checked out knowing I would...

We booked a private room for 4 days in this hostel from Lastminute.com.au. After a long and tiring drive from Sydney, we had to stay in a 8-share dorm room because the owner said the private room isn't available. They had my email and my phone number and yet no attempt was made to let us know beforehand. As soon...

Didn't even stay in the end in the hostel. When we showed up with a booking for two people in a four bedroom room , we were told it was too cheap on hotels.com and should be twice the price for two people. Plus told we would have to stay in an eight bedroom dorm! Refused to give a refund...

DISGUSTING! After sampling many budget backpacker hostels accross the world, this is by far THE WORST accomodation I have ever had the misfortune to spend a night in. Rooms STINK of cigarettes and sweat. (No wonder as one guy walked into the room smoking...) There are dirty plates and cups all over the floor. Bathroom was filthy. When I arrived...

I stayed at Home Travellers Motel for 2 nights whilst visiting St Kilda. Luckily I was just looking for somewhere to crash for 2 nights and did not plan on spending anytime at hostel as I really would not have wanted to! I had booked into 6 bed dorm but when I arrived into room there was actually only 5...

Everything in this hostel was horrible, especially the staff they were so unfriendly! The room was smelly and the bathroom was disgusting they didn't cleaned it every day, ask it a few times but they kept telling me they cleaned it. Sorry but who was in that room every day?! WiFi connection was terrible. My advise don't stay here!

Although St Kilda has fantastic shops and cafes and restaurants - even pubs - and the Sunday market is great, the choice of Home Travellers Motel proved to be poor. Overall the standard is pretty bad, with creaking bunk beds (which could be easily fixed with a spanner), lack of good cleaning of toilets (we shouldn't need to ask), and...

We booked the double room with en suite. Really nice! Spacious, good bed, clean and nice extras like tv, coffee, tea, microwaves, soaps etc. Room for improvement in the shower, heat of the water fluctuates a lot, reception not manned a lot of times but when you ring the bell somebody arrives soon enough. Bit noisy because some people celebrating...

“Given people leave their belongings lying around on the floor hence it's a messy shared room, the double's the solution & the t.v might actually work in a private room with your own neat & clean bathroom!(The towel on the floor 7 the water on the floor wasn't good & items in the shower which looked unclean & likely to cause accidents re open razors lying on the shower recess!).”
