I booked a bunk online at 2:30 AM for the following day. By 7:00 AM it became clear that I would not need to stay. I called to cancel my booking, but I was told they needed 48 hours notice in advance to not charge me—clearly an impossible requirement for anyone who books less than two days before their stay....

But not enough bathrooms and lacked facilities, for a 10 bed dorm we shared one bathroom which isnt really sufficient. Plus there were no cooking facilities, or washing machines in the hostel, which would have been a problem had we been staying for more than just the weekend

Hey Joel M, Thanks for staying with us! Next time you're in St Kilda I'll give you the grand tour (maybe the receptionists were a little busy) because we have a massive kitchen and chill out area downstairs. Have a Good one!

This hostel is alright when you visit it during the low price season. Otherwise I'd say it's not worth the money. The WiFi is bad unless you pay for it. Breakfast is available for 5 dollars but all you get is some toast and cereals. The rest is alright. Friendly staff and clean rooms and the kitchen has an average...

Hey Fabian S, Sorry to here that we didn't quite hit the mark with your stay. We are in the middle of a relaunch right NOW, so hopefully when you come back you'll see all the changes. Have a good one!

Met very nice people there, staff is very friendly. Facilities ok, but not in top condition. Aircon in room was not working, and mattress had a spring sticking out. If you are looking to make friends, and have a great time, definitely recommended. If you're looking for luxury and peaceful nights, maybe find a different place.

Base in St Kilda is a hostel that is great if you want to be social and party most nights. I met and hung out with pretty much everyone in my room. Bed and bathroom were clean and most of the staff were pretty helpful and friendly. Not good if you want to go to bed early and/or get a...

I found some staff lovely and helpful but the majority of staff were rude! I paid $52 a night and I was told I had to pay $5 to eat the bread/ cereal supplied for breakfast or I could clean the toilets for "free food". Spoke to other people staying in hostel not paying as much as I did and...

This is a very over priced Hostel who employ rude, clueless, unhelpful and self obsessed back packers as their staff! Ask them a reasonable question and all you get back as a response is "I dunno" great help guys 👏🏼 rooms are vile! Think you need to spend a few more dollars on some cleaning products and a maybe a...

This is definitely a party hostel. There are events every night which are great fun and a bar downstairs where you get to meet lots of people from all over the world. The only night I wasn't too keen on was the boozy bingo night. That night is very popular with people staying at the hostel and others however the...

Great fun hostel for young people! If you want a good time to start your travels this is the perfect place! You'll make loads of friends as there's always something going on! Defiantly go to the pub crawl & the boozy bingo! The lads running the events are great fun and really friendly!

The only issue I had with this place was the staff. From the moment we checked in to the staff members barging into the room to change the empty beds in the middle of you getting ready- it's wasn't a great interaction. This place is party central so if your looking for a quiet dorm you'll not find it here....
