Detailed Reviews
I stayed at Triton hotel for one week with my partner and we really enjoyed our stay.
The whole team are very organised, friendly and helpful. For all guests they happily arrange transfers to and from the island, excursions, COVID testing (if required) and other documentation required during this time, as well as any other requirements. They greet guests at the port and also accompany you on your departure to make sure you get your transfer without any issues, which is an amazing touch and helps avoid a stressful travel experience.
What separated Trition from the other hotels we stayed at in Maafushi and other islands is that they rent out free snorkelling gear, and get you sun beds on request (so there’s no stressful morning rush for beds).
Ikbal and the restaurant team work brilliantly all morning, all day and all night to provide the best service they can for all of the guests. They are always happy to see you, greet you and ask how you are and will do what they can to make your stay enjoyable. The restaurant food is to a high standard and is wide ranging. We had local food from the menu but also saw the buffet dinner served which also looked nice.
Nuzurul and all the other members of the housekeeping team are excellent at what they do. They are consistent, efficient and thorough in servicing your room but also take the time to talk to you and ask you if there is anything extra you require.
In terms of the facilities/amenities, the rooms are fairly spacious with a small balcony and en-suite. The bed was a bit hard but we didn’t have difficult sleeping. Tea, coffee and water are refilled everyday but also on request if you run out. They are actually a ‘single use plastic free hotel’ which is great to see. There a water filter machine son each floor in a common room and the refillable bottle in the room is a glass bottle. There’s a TV in the room with a small number of channels.
The swimming pool is rather small and only gets sun on it for an hour or two a day and because it’s next to the restaurant area, there are quite a lot of flies around which isn’t relaxing to say the least... but saying that, there’s no more flies there than at the beach.
There’s a pool table which is free to use which was nice to have during our stay.
There’s a tiny ‘gym’ on the third floor but it’s literally an exercise mat and 4 cardio machines.
There’s a rooftop terrace which is a nice seating area and you get a small view of the beach/sea, however the other large hotels on the beachfront inhibit this view.
All in all, it’s excellent value for money, the staff couldn’t do more for you, and it is near enough everything you need.
Thank you Triton

It was the 3rd time for us in Maldives and we choose to stay at the Triton Beach Hotel & Spa.
Everything in our trip was amazing! An amazing price for beautiful accommodation with spacious and very clean rooms!
Every day they are cleaning the rooms, changing the towel, respecting all the norms trough Covid-19.
They took care of everything of our trip: the PCR test, also the transfer to the airport.
I want to thank to the hotel manager:when we had a health problem the hotel manager was so kind and came with us at the pharmacy which was closed, but he called an emergency number and we could take what we need from the pharmacy.
Also I they was so nice and gave us and carry for free sun beds and towels daily on the Bikini beach.
You can also try excursions with Triton Beach Hotel& Spa, because they are a professional team. In half day excursion we saw what we wanted : octopus, Nemo fishes and so many turtle.
I want to mention the place where hotel is kinda quite than other hotels, because now in many zones are many hotel constructions.
If you want to have an amazing restaurant experience you should try the restaurant called Stingray Inn,where you can eat so many delicious dishes.
If you just want to relax, you can go on their rooftop terrace, to see the sunrise and also the sea.
Thank you for everything! I will definitely come back to Triton Hotel Beach & Spa in Maafushi! 5 stars for you guys!

I am a solo female traveller. I did not tell the hotel in advance what time I will be arriving. To my surprise, Sharmeel, staff from the hotel was already waiting for me at the ferry terminal. They carried my luggage and walked me to the hotel. Special thanks to Sharmeel to make me feel welcomed the moment i stepped onto the island. He has also been very nice and friendly during my stay there! I will definitely introduce my friends to stay there because of his hospitality!
Hotel is very affordable and in a good location. Tours provided by the hotel are also good and affordable (also shoutout to captain sharif during my half day tour and abichi from my sunset fishing for taking very good care of me). Do take their tours, it is worth it.
Room is clean and big enough for me. Shampoo and shower gel is provided but it will be good to bring your own toileteries. There is also a pool in the hotel but it is so small that you dont want to swim there.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and it was pretty disappointing…. As soon as we got to the room the sink was leaking, the safe was not working and the hotel is very worn down… it needs a serious paint job and furniture upgrade.
Went to the reception and they sent someone to “fix” the sink… after waiting g for a while and calling they finally sent a person to fix the safe but we wasted like an hour to fix the sink and operate de safe box!
That night it was hard to sleep as the bed was a hard as a rock and when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night there were Cockroaches…. The next morning I talked to them as the sink was leaking again, and to complain about the Cockroaches and to see if they could change our room! They said they would fix the sink again, deep clean and put a thick comforter to make the bed softer.
They cleaned but the following night we found more Cockroaches, even more than before…. The curtains are filthy like they have never washed them as well as the bed cushions, the walls need a couple of layers of paint, the hotel is surrounded but many construction site so it’s quite noise and this is the view you get from the pool view room, so save your money!
The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s very close to the bikini beach and they can provide beach beds and also the tour we took with them was ok as the people were nice, it was advertised as a 9am-2pm tour but it actually ended at 1pm.
If I ever return to the Maldives I will not stay at this hotel as I really dislike cockroaches

We booked this hotel that was relatively pricy in anticipation that it will provide good quality. We were very disappointed. The beds in the hotel were not comfortable (hard as rock), the shower was mediocre and the hotel was in a noisy area. I would highly recommend that you look for a different hotel.

Alert: We are a very chilled family not much into water sports but more into walks and treks so incase anyone reads this for a review on the packages offered by the hotel then this is not the right review to read. Sorry
Maafushi is a busy island, with locals living their lives and tourists all busy in one industry - tourism! So better not to expect a very quiet, secluded time on the island. On the other hand, it is not as busy as say, Male the capital. Triton is very well maintained, new property managed pretty well. The restaurant offers delicious food throughout the day. The staff picks and drops you at the jetty provided one has already corresponded properly before embarking on the trip. There are quaint streets to roam on, the only bakery (run by a lady) selling interesting quaint stuff and if you want to buy reasonably priced souvenirs then this is the best place to do so. Overall a wonderful experience, worth every penny spent.

I have visited many times in this island and this was my first stay at Triton beach. After completing all the payments for our rooms and other services we have used. I mentioned that I was very happy about our stay and was ready to depart.
Unfortunately at the last min noticed one of the rooms where we stayed key card missing which actual cost was abt $0.2. They wanted to put a fine charge of $20 they have repeatedly mentioned this. I tried to explain the reception, This was lost last night due to heavy rain while we are outside. We have no issue paying any amount for the services we use in the hotel but as a part of customer care service, this hotel is unable to offer anything!!!
Very poor customer care service I give them 10/0 for their poor customer care service.

A lovely hotel, the staff are very friendly, nice and clean. Only a few steps to the public bikini beach, which the hotel provide towels and sunbeds for on request. Great snorkeling trip which the hotel organised. We also opted to take their transport to and from Male airport for $25 each, very organised. Please be aware they mostly only take US dollars in Maafushi, so it's pointless exchanging your currency to their money.

We just went there to eat because it had great rating for a restaurant in Maafushi. Service from Front of house was ok but we waited almost an hour for a portion of fried rice and a seafood platter. The rice was good but the seafood was completely burnt, the mussels were hard as rock. Also the fries were hard and cold when we got them. We don’t like to complain and normally would just not say anything and eat what’s eatable. We called the waiter to see what happened and he tried to convince us that the seafood was good to eat. After talking with few staff members we managed to get the plate removed and we shared the fried rice. We felt sorry for the waiter but I don’t understand how can you even send out a dish like that from the kitchen. Be careful with seafood, you can ruin someone’s holiday!

Stayed here in Feb for 2 weeks. The staff always called out with a friendly greeting whenever they saw you and they were very helpful with all of our questions and requests. They will assist you for everything, from room booking, boat transfer, tours, swab test etc.. and the rooms are clean and well appointed. Good food and good ambience. The hotel is in one of the best locations to explore the entire island by walking or bicycle (which you can use for free). Also free of use for beach towels, snorkeling and sunbed.
We would also to say thank you for the free beach dinner set up that they gave to us during the Valentines. Thank you, Triton Hotel, for making our stay unforgettable in Maldives.

Hi,
I think they will be able to arrange this for you, but is better to contact them via email or booking agency. The private boat should cost around 150 (maybe 200) dollars, not more.
Jackie David Solayao asked a question May 2017
Singapore, null, Singapore193 contributions51 helpful voteshi, do need to book in advance for speedboat from hulhumale to triton?
We took public ferry to get Maafushi and bought tickets at the port in the morning at Vilingili ferry terminal in Male to leave at 3:00 pm each day. It takes around 1.5 hrs to get Maafushi by ferry.
We went back Male fr Maafushi by speedboat and Triton arranged it for us. Suggest you may email Triton to help you arrange speedboat to Maafushi as well. Triton can be contacted thru email and can speak english very well.
Hi, generally the weather is stable during the year between 26 and 32°C. However, generally there is a quite rainy weather. August is better than September.
