Old building, smell bad … worst part was i had cockroach and flies in the room. The hotel looks really nice but in reality its very old with low maintenance. The room is really old with old wood smell. AC was cranking all night. In the toilet and shower i have a cockroach family and flies :( I had a swimsuit but i dare not to jump into the pool. Definitely doesn’t look clean. Breakfast wasn’t served here, its served at other Kaani hotel. Would prefered to stay in other Kaani hotel if the room wasnt fully booked out
Hotel is nice, right by gorgeous beach. Rooms were nice, good to have free snorkel equipment. Buffet was ok, not great. But they only will give you 1 key per room, which was an issue, as I shared the room with 2 other men in our group, and we came and went at different times. They said they have a shortage of keys!
If you are looking for a comfortable stay with clean & spacious rooms, amazing excursions options to explore among cooperative staff then Kaani village Spa should be your destination. Special thanks to Mohammad Jawed from Bangladesh and Jessica from Sri Lanka who took very good care of me and my friends. I highly recommend this place to stay in Maafushi.
I stayed there for 3 nights and It was alright. Its near the iCom tours and the walkable from the speed boat drop zone. The rooms, furniture and interior are very old. The size of the room is normal. However amenities in the bathroom are limited. The pool is decent to chill in. They have a spa in house. The breakfast has minimal options and the seating is very compact. The food is okay. Everyday only one 1 item changes in the menu. The service and staff are polite, calm and willing to listen. The beach around the vicinity is normal shore and at the distance is the bikini beach. The KAANI group has 2 other hotels in the vicinity and this one is not their best. The also arrange tours, gathering people from all KAANI hotels, however the equipment condition was bad and the food provided was below par. Its definitely not a 3 star, but has potential do be one if they renovate the rooms and improve the meal buffet options. I would recommend this place if your focus is just to have room in Maafushi island while for food and tours you look for other options. It is a budget option.…
Me and my wife spent there eight nights. We were absolutely satisfied.Every cent we spent there worth it.The staff was kind, friendly and correct in every aspest. We have got a room on the groundfloor next to the pool.Breakfast and the dinner(extra charge 10USD) were fine. The only thing what I should mention is the room entrance door looked damaged by the sun.It is time to replace them.Otherwise if one has limited budged (up to 100USD) and wants to spend a remarkable holiday in Maldives I can reccomend.
Originally we had a reservation in the Kaani Beach Hotel with 'cityview' but because of a reconstruction in the neighborhood they offer (immediately without requiring) a bigger room in the Village Hotel and extra dinner (the distance is nothing). Kadir was so correct, friendly and organized everything. Our room was clear, services okay, the food - not so colorful but - fresh and tasty. The programs offered by the hotel are okay but you need lucky also to see the sea life. Kaani is big company in the Island with hotels and services and I can only suggest them especially Kadir the receptionist in the Beach Hotel!
We were forced to stay at Beachwood Hotel after we had made a booking 4 months ago.The reeson told was overbooking and how do they prioritise the customers only they know. Beachwood is a third class Hotel, very poor room, far located , amenities and staff. They gave us very bad conditioned room on 3rd floor with a baby with us. They lost our baby stroller and called us liar upon asking. After confrontation they threatened us to throw out at 11 pm with a baby. NEVER VIST MAFUSHI. NEVER BOOK KAANI. NEVER SATY AT BEACHWOOD.
For the rates charged for 3 days, the family room was excellent. The rooms are spacious. Breakfast and Dinner was very good. The staff were very friendly and co-ordial. Very near the beach, The trips they arranged also was good.
We stayed here for 3 nights in this hotel, it is very near to maafushi beach. Food was really good. They also arranged different water sports activities for us, which was really excellent. Hotel staff was very co-operative and we enjoyed our trip.
We came to kaani village hotel for the 2nd time, based on my fantastic experience 3 years ago. Most of the stuff are extremely nice and helpful.BUT 1.the towels, if you call it towel, are some poor old small towel that dont dry the body. Impossible to get more than one.(i was told that on january they will get new ones) 2. Beach towel-only 1 per day. The problem is when you get twice a day to the beach, the towel is wet, full of sand. Not a way to treat a guest. 3.umbrellas-on rainy day the hotel has only a certain amount, we could not get one, so a manager from another hotel gave us 4. Room cleaning-quite not satisfying. The carpet dirty, not clean. I feel really sorry to write all this, as the people are trying and nice, BUT must get some improvement 5.we are 2 friends, we had to pay 20$ extra per night for extra bed. Better to have the option of separating beds.…
