I had 7 nights stay there. Everything was simply amazing. Mohamed and his wife took care after me a lot. They picked up me, showed me main points (shops, beach,..) and they organised trips for me. They refilled bottle of water for me everytime when I asked, they were cleaning my room everyday and I could borrow a snorkeling equipment. They helped me with everything including PCR test. They were (are) very kind and generous people. The room was nice and clean, breakfast was fine and tasty. The accommodation has good location in very calm area. I can just recommend this place for your stay in Maafushi. They made my stay very pleasant :).

We had a wonderful stay. As an alternative to a big hotel, this is a family run guesthouse with just 4 rooms; it's a more personal and unique experience. Mr. Shafeeq and his wife are exceptional hosts. As soon as we booked the room, we got a message from him explaining how to get to his place from Male. He greeting us at the dock in Maafushi and walked us to his place. He was very helpful answering our questions and giving us recommendations.
The breakfast is good, rooms are exquisitely clean, showers have hot water, A.C is great, and wifi worked well. There is also free snorkel gear available to guests. He was very generous and allowed us to stay some extra time after check out since we went on a snorkeling trip the day we left. I highly recommend this place.

Let me start with what impressed me and my partner the most: Shafeeq is an amazing host. Not only did he pick us up from the airport, but also took care of us in every conceivable way during our stay. From helping us organize trips, assist with shopping (seriously, ask him before you go souvenir hunting) to getting our laundry done, and sitting with us and talking about the Maldives, Maafushi and life in general. If you are planning on staying on Maafushi, then it just doesn't get better than Sun Shine View.
But lets talk details.
1. The rooms are clean and well taken care off. the beds are comfortable, with a daily change of sheets. there is AC in each room, helping you refresh after the hot and moist days.
2. Breakfast served is of the local variety. expect fruits, eggs and juices. the time varies, depending on your daily schedule. but needless to say, you will start your day with a good meal, ready for whatever you have planned.
3. the location on Maafushi is great. less than a 5 minute walk from the island's harbour, and 1 minute from the east side beaches. there is good local restaurants right around the corner, but one can always walk the few hundred meters to the more touristy places around the hotels.
4. Hospitality. As I mentioned at the start, Shafeeq and his wife are wonderful hosts, caring for their guests and doing everything they can to make your stay as smooth and memorable as possible.
I cannot recommend Sun Shine View highly enough. For us, staying there was cherry on top of an unforgettable experience.

The owners were very friendly and took care of every minute detail so we didn't have to worry about any aspect of planning or administrative procedures. They have 4 rooms at the hotel and they genuinely care spending time with each of the guests. We could ask them anything and they always willingly tried to help.

Our vacation in Sun Shine View was more than perfect! The host and his family are very nice people, kind and they help us with everything we needed. The villa is very nice and clean, also the room. Thank you, professor for everything! I recomand Sun Shine View with all my heart!

We stayed at Sunshine View for our new year vacation. It is highly recommended place to stay in Maafushi. The host, Mr. Shafiq, along with his family are the best hosts and take care of everything from planning of daily activities to arrangement of transfers. Cleanliness level was absolutely perfect and we always used to get as-new room everyday. We were also served a delicious breakfast every morning. If I'd visit Maldives again, sunshine view will surely be my place to stay.

Sun Shine View is without doubt the best place to stay in Maafushi. The care and support of the lovely family who run the guest house made our trip so much better - they were on hand any time of day or night to answer questions, help us to plan our activities and to help us have an amazing stay. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, great air conditioning and nice bathroom. I truly can’t recommend Sun Shine View enough.

Our first time in the Maldives and we could not have had a better experience. We were very well looked after by this lovely couple. The rooms were spotless and breakfast was great. Free drinking water supplied in Glass bottles, tea making facilities and fridge. Everything you need on holiday. They also helped us with our onward travel and after visiting another three Islands we returned for another few days before leaving. The whole family were waiting at the port when we arrived. Wonderful owners, great atmosphere of family. We have had long staying, around one month here 2 years already and feel very comfortable like at home. All questions, all requests always solving very fast. We had great time and planing to came back again.
We love breakfast, we like the place, we are really pleased with all help and care of owners! Really reccomend this hotel.
