A good hotel centrally located in Kalgoorlie. Rooms are clean but unfortunatelly without osn toilet and bath. The hotel has its own charme of past days and is lovely if you like that. Traffic noise can be a bit loud - especially the street cleaning machines from 5 am if you have a room with balcony to the street. Neberthemesd...

I knew when we booked the room that it wasn't ensuite but thought that the character of the hotel would make up for it. That was before I discovered that the women's toilets, rather akin to school shower block, were at the far back of the hotel, accessed only from an open balcony. The men's toilets were inside and nearer....

A great spot, centrally located on the town's main street. Friendly staff changed my allocated room without demurring when I wanted to change from a single to a double (room 16). The room contained two single beds and was spotlessly clean with a TV, small refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. It didn't have a/c but there was a pedestal fan...

We had dinner here after reviewing Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed but amazed at how fabulous the food was. One of the best meals we have had. The service was very good and the Staff lovely. We would go out of our way to eat here again

We spent a night at this great architectural hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, very airy with high ceilings. Not dark or gloomy. The rooms are also the original size from the day. No en suite bathroom you do need to hike down the hall. The ladies bathroom was at the farthest end of the hall and only 2...

We specifically requested a balcony room and were amazed when we found we were actually located inside one of the turrents complete with dome and stained glass. It was like staying in a movie set. The whole building was immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean witout sacrificing any of the history and charm of the place. We loved the creaky floorboards...

we arrived on a Friday evening, our room was very basic with shared bathroom but vey clean, we thought it would be good having the room at the front of the hotel with doors opening onto the balcony, not so good, a band was playing right under our room and sounded like they were in the room with us, it...

This is a nice estabishment. 112 years of character. The food is great, the rooms clean and beds comfortable. The staff were helpful and pleasant. It is close to everything you need within easy walking distance. I thought it was good value for money and I would stay at the York again.

We were very keen to see what Kalgoorlie had to offer visitors, so after research chose this lovely old hotel, and booked directly with them. We arrived on an early morning flight, and had to wait until somebody was around to let us in. We were shown to a lovely old fashioned room overlooking the wide main street, with a...
