My daughter and I stayed here before the Whangarei half marathon. We hire the equipment and walked around Abbey caves was awesome fun. We found it to be comfy, clean and friendly. Thanks for a great stay;)

Very friendly staff, wonderful location close to the Abbey caves (walking distance, very nice walk). Whangarei waterfalls are also very close and you can have a short or longer walk if u like there. Pieceful area. Will come back next time I will stay in the area!

I stayed at this beautiful countryside hostel in March 2015. I chose to stay in one of the little chalets that had gorgeous views of the rolling green hills and grazing cows. The common areas are very convienient and tidy, there's chickens running around in the yard and I met some really nice fellow travellers. It felt like staying at...

The property is beautiful, with chickens and resident dog. Well set up for travellers wanting to explore the caves as they will supply helmets, shoes and torches. The caves are at the bottom of the Garden,...

This hostel has the friendliest hosts, super clean rooms and a great location! Definitely one of the best hostels I stayed at in NZ, would recommend this hostel over and over again. I've been back in my hometown (NL) for a while now, but I can still remember my stay at Little Earth Lodge :)

We stayed here 2 months ago. It was a really good hotel and not expensive at all for what you get. Clean and nice bedroom, clean bathrooms, Free range eggs from manager's own chicken! Quiet and calm place in the middle of fields. Very friendly. Few rooms so you're not sharing the kitchen with thousands people. They offer you plenty...

Little earth lodge is a georgous place to stay, not far out of the city and very secluded in the bush with open farmland surrounding your room. Moreporks chat away while the chooks feed on the grass outside your room. The people running the place are super friendly too. Very clean and modern, we we very impressed

Polly and David were the perfect hosts and greeted us with a warm welcome! We got to spend some time with some other travelers and view a sky full of stars (free of all light pollution), like we had never seen before! The living quarters were very clean, as well as the community kitchen and entire property. We really enjoyed...
