Lupton Lodge is a beautifully restored 1896 villa with modern amenities. We stayed in the main house, had 2 large rooms, a bedroom and a sitting room. There was a small refrigerator and tea kettle as well as a day bed and large desk. Air...More
Stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Beautiful old restored house with huge guest rooms and a large bathroom with claw foot bath. Bed was extremely comfortable. We arrived late in afternoon so decided to eat in. After a walk round the...More

Hi Caroline, there are taxis that can get you to Lupton Lodge from the bus station but as we are located in the countryside we generally recommend that people have their own car. If you want to be able to explore the local area or go out for dinner then you would need your own vehicle.
If you are going diving there is a shuttle that can take you to the dive operators and bring you back to Lupton Lodge at the end of the day.
There are several rental car companies in Whangarei if you would like to rent a car once you get tot eh city.
