We were there in June last year when a very difficult man who paraded around in a high visibility vest in an agitated state said he was in charge because the caretaker owners were away. He also took off in a huff on a little motor bike when we asked for a refund on a machine that did not work....

Thank you for the pointing out of our deficiencies, my apologies. We were away on holiday in July last year, not June, and the man you refer to was our temporary manager. He certainly wore a hi-viz jacket. He got a lot of positive responses from various campers, but unfortunatly got offended at one of them and left us, along...

Quirky little campground run by a lovely couple. Dog friendly too! Beautiful grounds and a stunning beach just thru the flax bush boundary - make sure to witness the sun setting into the ocean . . .breathtaking.

Staying here was a highlight for us. We paid 34 for 2 people in a beachfront powered campervan site, plus $2 for internet access, a pretty good value overall. The beachfront part is what really made this a great value for us, such a lovely location. The beach was empty when we were here, making it feel even more special....

This is a lovely, clean camping with great acces to the beach. It is really kwerkie and if you enjoy life you will enjoy it here! The old school building is the launch now and it very cozy. If anyone does not appreciate the cozyness of that place I just so not get it.

Thank you so much for that - it sort of makes up for the nasty tone of the previous reviewer. I read that one and was feeling very upset and then with the space of 2 hours 2 separate people came to the door, a youngish lady followed later by a a young man both of whom wanted to congratulate...

Funny, I have to agree with all of the reviews I read here? The good and the bad. Great location, locked into the 60's when tourism was really just getting popular. Not much has changed. The camper van sites either back onto the beach or overlook it. Constant bash of the surf is comforting. But don't be in the kitchen...

Everything was great, the lady at office was friendly and helpful. The place was cute, kiwi and cosy with everything you need, and good affordable rates. Nice by the beach. Unfortunately it went down hill when the other owner, (husband?) was so rude to me when I asked a simple question, it could have made you cry it was really off...sad...

This is a very simple camp ground with clean tidy amenities. My single cabin was warm and tidy with a TV fridge and toaster. Very reasonably priced. Maybe a little old and slightly run down but value for money and if you plan to get out and about instead of lounging around all day this is the perfect stay. I...

Costs are reasonable but just too basic for the 21st century because I expect showers and wash basins to be clean and for items like washing machines to actually finish the job when I have paid extra to use them. Better attention to hygiene and a little flexibility towards check out time would have been appreciated.
