My husband and I are middle aged plus. We came to Greymouth on the train and stayed 1 night at Noah's Ark which is close to the railway station about 7 mins walk, close to the centre of town. Our double room was very comfortable and clean, with a heater and a small TV. Bathroom across the corridor also clean...

I stayed in 8 hostels over my two week trek of the South Island and Noah's Ark was the second to the last favorite on my list. It was a large house that needed lots of updates. The room I was put in was so large the tiny space heater they gave to warm the room just could not cut...

I can in all honesty state that my stay at the ark was both charming and friendly. The staff at the time (from the North of England) were frankly excellent - read, both attentive and...

It s a big, beautiful, warm hostel. And really quiet. The beds are more then comfortable, it has a lot of common spaces and a good equiped big kitchen with free breakfast in winter months. The managers are really nice and they provide you with 100 mb free internet.

First, as a panda lover, being reserved Panda Room was so cool for me. And that little panda doll on the bed, was sooo cute. I loved that beautiful garden view from my window. Even in a cloudy winter day it was that pretty. In the afternoon I had lunch on the bench which was so nice. Location speaking, very...

Stayed in a double room for a couple of nights in winter ... room was big but freezing cold despite heater. Staff were really friendly and provided extra blankets and hot water bottles but was still pretty cold. Kitchen was a bit on the dirty side and despite there not being many people staying it felt pretty crowded. Bathroom was...

My mum and I stayed here for 2 nights in the 'giraffe' room. Everything was very clean and great cooking facilities. It was pretty cold when we were there but we still had time to enjoy the big balcony off the upstairs hallway. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms well equipped for cold nights. I wouldn't recommend spending...
