This is a lovely old house, in a quiet street just outside the centre of Hokitika but within easy walking distance. There is a pretty front garden and a BBQ area to the side. Parking is no problem. Peter, the host, and his wife live on the ground floor and the guest bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. Guests also have...

Previous reviewers who said this was the best place they stayed in must have been to some awful places! This was the worst of our 6 week trip, it is foisty and shabby and more of a hostel than B and B -well past it's best. Breakfast was DIY cereal and toast of the basic cheapest stuff I was glad...

The place it's in the centre of the town, the owner it's quite polite. Maybe the check-in it's a little bit late, that's the only thing it could be improved but still it's very nice place. The breakfast it's simple, toast, cereal, milk, cofee.

Absolutely brilliant accommodation, bagpacking around the South Island. The host was so lovely and went out of his way to show us around and main attractions of the town. Beds were really comfortable with lovely breakfast and wifi had great connection throughout the house . Would definitely come back

It’s actually one of the best stay we had in the trip. This place is more like a big bungalow than a motel. With a large compound and nice garden feel at the entrance, we thought we were at the wrong place when we arrive! The owner Peter is a really friendly old man. He will show you around the...

We stayed at this Bed and Breakfast after finishing the Wilderness trail and the place was excellent. Great host was relaxed and helpful in every way, even dropping the guys to the bus stop. We had and enjoyable time on the deck with our cuppa and afterwards enjoyed a relaxing time in the guest lounge and kitchen. Would highly recommend...

The host was a very friendly and hospitable. He advised us how to make the best of our short stay- especially the glow worms. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. I would recommend a stay to a friend and would stay here again if I was ever in the area! The breakfast was very welcome in the morning...

ACE Accomodation is located in a lovely older house. We booked the double room with shared bathroom. The room was spacious and comfortable, but there is only one bathroom for four rooms to share. There was only one other couple staying the night we were there (thankfully), but we had quite a long wait in the evening while they took...

I booked my room online and was aware that their was a shared bathroom, but I didn't expect to be sharing it will all the other guests - 5 couples. There was a queue in the evening to use the toilet and again in the morning to use toilet / shower space. The room was comfortable enough but house had...

Very good value. Clean spacious accommodation in charming colonial house. Not overlooking the wind swept beach but further back in the quieter back streets. All modern conveniences. Helpful owner. Good breakfast. Will stay again.
