Wanted to stay to support local feel it was a tad overpriced for what it was . However it was clean and comfy , in fact it seemed more like a boarding flat , come and go meet people yada ya ya. Maybe I'd stay here again I guess I'd be comparing other bnbs first .

Booked Brook House before the earthquake so was not sure how it would be. Some parts off the town suffered severe damage but Brook House seems fine now. We stayed for one night and had an en-suite room with a communal balcony overlooking the mountains. The B&B is a very laid back place. Judy the host works so all the...

Thank you for taking time to review your stay with us. Brook House suffered only some cosmetic damage during the earthquake and our insurance company have had an engineers report to confirm it is safe. Enjoy the rest of your time in NZ . Kind regards Judy Brook House B&B

We booked for two nights, but only stayed for one, as on the second night, the earthquake happened. Despite the huge damage to basically everything in the b&b, Judy and her family were only focused on getting everyone out safely. Before the quake, I thought it was a lovely place, with a friendly cat and dog, and owners! The breakfast...

The room was on the ground floor so did not need to carry bags. The car is parked just outside the door. It was sort of a mini apartment. The bed was so comfortable. The shower was a bit small. We felt at home at breakfast time as you could help yourself to a wide variety of things. I appreciated...

We visited Kaikoura just for the night and stayed with Judy, Charlie the poodle and Henry the cat. Just like visiting friends, with open house in the spotless kitchen/dining room and a barbeque on the balcony if you want it. Our room was very nicely decorated, with a shared balcony with great views. I would recommend staying at Brook House...

Thank you for asking the time to review your stay. I do try to keep the house cosy in the winter and the log fire throws out a lot of heat.

My friend and I stayed with Judy recently in a twin with private bathroom. we were treated very warmly from the first day. Judy gave us lots of information about the local area and where to go. The b&b is lovely and the room is beautiful with fantastic views of the mountains. Clean and spacious. Breakfast is included and there...
