Pretty cool & lovely hostel! Nice place to life and to explore Kaikoura. I've spend there nearly two months. Really good community for a real New Zealand experience. I can definitely recommend it to stay there longer and do work for accommodation!

Lovely hostel that had good facilities and comfortable beds. In summer I expect it would be a lot more difficult to cook in kitchen as not many pans to use and if people are cooking you don't have much choice! Otherwise a good hostel in a good location :)

Not a bad little hostel. I liked the common areas and the location was very good - not far from a supermarket or the main town. However, the beds weren't hugely comfortable and the shower was pretty useless. I'd stay here again for 1 night but not any longer than that...

A clean and cozy little hostel with friendly staff. With walking distance to restaurants, shopping and lovely nature walks along the coastline. Seals inhabit most of the cliff areas and you can get many good photo opportunities really close to them. This is also a town for seafood lovers.

My friends and I stayed here while travelling with Stray. All of the regrets for not staying some place else. While a plus is the kitchen and common are nice and well kept, we were not impressed by the linens - no top sheets and, as admitted by a staff member when we requested top sheets (and told we couldn't...

Nice quiet and clean hostel with friendly staff. Only stayed for one night in a 3 bed room with an ensuite. Lovely big and open kitchen with plenty of room to cook with ease. Nice indoor and outdoor seating areas. Within walking distance of the town, would recommend.

I stayed here for one night, in a double room, in May 2015 with the Kiwi Experience. The pros were that it was cheap, good location, ensuite and had a huge movie collection in the TV room. The cons were that it's a little outdated and the radiator wouldn't work in our room so it was freezing.

I really liked this place a lot. I stayed here for one night in a 6 share room. The room and the kitchen was clean. They have Global Gossip wifi ($4 for 24 hours) which was really fast. The hostel is walking distance from most of the places in Kaikoura. The one thing bad is that the bed was super...

Been meaning to write this review for so long! Stayed here for one night in November. I was travelling by myself and was so grateful for such a warm welcome from the owners and their few staff who helped out. The owner was so lovely and gave me a crayfish for my dinner! Such a kind man! And it was...

We stayed here for one night in a double room. The room was en suite. The bed was comfortable. The room seemed fairly clean. The kitchen was big and there was plenty of room for everyone to do their cooking. You could sit outside in the sun and eat your food. There was a really nice and friendly lady on...
