Nothing wrong with this place, but the high ratings are surprising and misleading. The units are really basic and quite tired, painted concrete blocks etc, some of the sky channels not working. The motel is fine in and of itself, location is good but it was way overpriced at 135 NZD. I see that 3 days after my stay they... More

Close to beach although at time of year we stayed this didn't matter to us. Well located for seal colony at end of peninsula and okay location to dining and shops. Old style units that look weary. Was clean and comfortable for a one night stay in cool weather. Price was okay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Included Wifi. Small... More

We stopped here for 2 nights on the way to Picton. It is pretty much all you need. The decor is dated but the rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff were very friendly and the view of the bay from the beach over the road is stunning. The number of tv channels was pretty limited but lets face... More

Nice little motel. It was clean, spaciousness and comfortable with a kitchenette. Rooms were older and could do with an upgrade, but staff were friendly and helpful and it was a cheap price. And more than comfortable for one night. It is a little bit out of town but not hard to find and right on the ocean front. Would... More

Stayed 2 nights whilst on a New Zealand trip.Booked whilst on the road so very pricey as was peak season and got the unit nearest the sea.Lovely views but the room could do with some updating.20 mins pus walk into the town but close to albatross/whale trips and great seafood stall.

This is a very quiet motel located half way between the town and the seal colony - close enough to walk to town. The owners were very friendly & helpful, the motel was older, well maintained & spotlessly clean. Parking was outside the motel door. They even lent us a bucket to clean our bike and there was a hose... More

I stayed at Blue Seas Motel with my family in the new year's eve. The room is very clean and spacious. We can enjoy the view from the sea right from our windows inside, which is awesome! The staff at the motel was extremely friendly and helpful. I left my one of my favorite glasses in the hotel room by... More

The room was really tired, dirty carpet and the bed cover was smelly. The positive was really near with sea and the seal colony. Price too expensive for condition like that. And it seems extra charge $50 if when we leave the room not clean.

Took a long weekend here with the family. Good location, as it was an easy walk to town. The sea across the road was lovely and the kids had a lovely swim. The motel was clean and tidy but it's looking a little tired and dated. But that was fine as we were out most of the time. Overall a... More

Not cheap but probably what you can expect for Kaikoura at this time of the year. Comfortable but a bit dated. Good location though and quiet. Second visit here and would come back here again. Recommend Meke's seafood takeaways across the road and the Green Dolphin restaurant.
