An 8 day stay over Christmas and our first time to Hervey Bay. This place is a true sanctuary. Special views of the lake, interaction with the wildlife and very quiet. Location to facilities also very good. The only way to explain the cabin is "donger" style basic. No insulation means you will either be very hot or very cold....

We stayed one night here after going Whale Watching and before visiting Fraser Island the following day. It was located in a quiet area with not too much going on within walking distance. Check in was easy enough, there was a pleasant view of the lake which seemed viewable from back of all cabins, however we were overall disappointed with...

We spent two nights at this cabin overlooking a private lake filled with birds, ducks, turtles. They were definitely a huge attraction although the droppings were a bit of a nuisance but the view was beautiful. This was a great location for our day trip to Fraser Island. The unit was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

We stayed 2 nights in one of their bungalows and I can't think of anything wrong to say about this place. It is really lovely! Clean, well equipped bungalows, very well maintained property and very friendly owner. We did not have a car but rented bicycles to get around, it was very easy!

I've seen a lot of this world and this place really stands out as something special. The spacious lodges are right on the lake and from morning to night you can get up close and friendly with ducks, water hens, ibises and turtles. The friendly owner, Jason will give you proper food for the animals. It's a beautiful retreat and...

The location of this establishment is good, after that its all down hill. Out dated décor dinner ware that didn't match, limited wine glasses and cutlery. An air conditioner that didn't work correctly.

We stayed for three nights and were pleased with our choice. The cabins are quite tired, but clean and in a lovely peaceful setting in Hervey Bay. Check-in was very friendly and we were recommended a nearby child-friendly restaurant. There is a fridge and microwave in the cabin and a shared bbq outside, so you could cook if you wanted....

The family bungalow we had was full equipped and big enough for the 4 of us. The balcony was just beside the lake and the water turtles have been spotting us. A real bird sanctuary and a very peaceful place. Just loved it.

Spent two nights in July - lovely clean self-contained detached lakeside unit. Convenient walk to beach, club restaurant and shops. Proprietor Jason was extremely helpful and accommodating and the price exceptionally good. Not a brand-new unit, but well-furnished with comfortable beds and spotless linen; airconditioner, ample instant hot water, and large bathroom. Relaxing on our private verandah for drinks at...
