This site caters for all types, a variety of cabins and backpacker accommodation, also camping of the usual types. My experience was in an on-suite cabin, clean well appointed and comfortable. I felt it pleasing that I was visited by a group of peacocks, I'm sure they were interested in finding if food was available, nonetheless pleasing. The Colonial also...

I stayed here with my girlfriend for one day to do whales an Fraser Island tour and the amenities were good enough for what we needed, standard hostel. Biggest fail is the lack of equipment in the kitchen, where there are no even microwave.

We had a camper trailer and used a powered site down the back of the Resort. There's eight powered sites all quite close together. Would be good if there was a little more room for each site, but it is what it is and it's not a big deal. The resort is kept very clean, both grounds and facilities. Considering...

We stayed here for four nights and for the price the rooms are ok. We had a private room with a bathroom. The carpet and the blinds were a bit smelly, they need a wash/renewal, but the rest was clean and spacious. The bistro is ok as well, the prices for the food are fair. If we're again in Hervey...

This is a perfect location if you are seeking somewhere to enjoy peaceful surroundings. The hostel is lovely. We stayed in a double with shared bathroom. The room has a fan, and a very comfy bed, byo towel. The bathrooms were always clean. The kitchen didn't close other than for cleaning and had everything you need. You do need to...

Firstly, let me say Hervey Bay is enormous. 50,000 people, but hugely spread out. The YHA Colonial Village is on the Eastern edge. There is nothing anywhere nearby to see or do. There's a Woolworths around 15/20 minutes walk away (no pavement/sidewalk). You can probably get a coffee down near the front if you walk for 30 minutes or so,...

We stayed here for 2 nights in July when we were making our trip to framer, we were pleasantly supersede at how clean and spacious our log cabin was ...It had everything you would need...A home away from home. The staff were extremely friendly...We were picked up at the greyhound bus stop and brought to the hostel and dropped back...

Unfortunately all the accommodation was fully booked at Hervey Bay & we had to stay in backpacker accommodation. The room was very average, very uncomfortable bed, very noisy (as expected) & it would have to be the very last option to stay there again. On a positive note, the wild life was lovely! Wood ducks, peacocks & farm ducks come...

The village resort was lovely, we stayed in a powered site which was part of the YHA only 8 powered sites, very quiet which was great for us. Ducks, peacocks roaming around all friendly. Amenities clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly. Would certainly stay here again if heading back to Hervey Bay. 😊👍

Great little camp site in Harvey Bay... Excellent for a Fraser Island tour overnight stay. We booked two nights with our camper van. It is orienterend towards backpackers but all is well aranged and fairly priced. (32dollar for a powered site) there is a community location with a small bar and bistro, kitchen and laundry facilities. Fraser Island tours offer...
