2 Bedroom Villa

Everything was good but..

1)Many mosquitoes in the villa when we first check in. There was more mosquitoes outside the villa. The management need to look in this matter seriously as dengue is very popular in this region. There might be a lot of mosquito breeding in the area.

2)There was a lot of dead leaves in the pool and jacuzzi. So we have to call the pool maintenance service to clear it. This is due to the surrounding trees and bushes that need to be trim.

3) Install blind or curtain at the kitchenette windows for privacy.

4) Bathtub stopper not working. Please fix it.

5)The restaurant at the golf resort clubhouse need to put strict rules on dress code for customers. People were wearing singlets and boxer shorts. They need to dress modestly.

6) Sadly, our stay was cut short due to the lockdown announcement from their government. The management couldn't refunded us cash. They gave us voucher for our next stay which expires in a year time. I think the management should refunded us back in cash as we never know what's going to happen in future and how long is the CO VID will last.

So i grade this place 8/10.

Thank you A'famosa Resort.

we stayed here for the ramadhan stay and dine promotion. for 2 adult and 1 infant, we were booked at family condo unit, and above all we're glad for such a cheap price but we got a big unit. cleanliness is great even though the condo is a bit rundown.
we love the facilities there, git to enjoy the swimming pool also.
above all, we're very satisfied with the food taste during iftar. and the fireworks show is a plus. we also got free tickets for firefly show at the Freeport.

We booked for family gathering. House is very spacious fits us all around 18 peoples. There is big kitchen, big dining table with a tv which we use a lot of time eating while watching it.

There is a pool, lawn space for outside activities, bbq pit. We have so much fun outside. Will consider to come here again for family gathering.

I have nothing good to say about this hotel what so ever, from the start to finish they were too many faults for me to even list them down here each one. I could write forever but I won’t waste more time writing a review as I don’t think they care one way or another as they only interested in getting your money. If there is Health and Safely enforced, this hotel will be closed down by down. The staff aren’t that friendly. We didn’t feel welcome, they never seem to smile, the Theme Park was dreadful - I only blamed the management of the hotel not the staff as they weren’t trained to be customer facing. They seems to be forced to be working there. It’s such a shame as my nephews and nieces love it here but as for someone who is used to quality of services and good manners, I won’t be recommend this substandard resort for family get together. So so disappointing and we would be going back for sure.

Today we checked into A'Famosa and checked out 2 hours later. This cost us MYR473.30 for the experience I am about to share with you.
We booked a family studio for the rate above. When we got there they put us in a 2 bedroom condole room. Upon checking in, the first thing that hit us was the foul smell emanating from the room. The entire room smelled like filth. The furniture was in a dilapidated condition and the lights we tripping on and off. The zircon sounded like an excavator. I immediately went back down to the from desk and told them this room was unacceptable. They then put us in another apartment, one hour later. When we got to the room, the entire bathroom in the master bedroom had a plumbing leak and again a foul odor. There were also rat droppings in the kitchen area.
I was so upset by this time I just went to the front desk and checked out. Dd not even ask for a refund. I think the Malaysian tourism as well as health agencies need to visit this place and crack down on the unsanitary facilities. I will not put my dog to sleep there. It was extremely horrible. I even sent the customer service department an email. What a wasted day, as I had to drive back to KL after this encounter. I will NOT recommend anyone go to stay at this place, you may leave with so much bacteria and pollutant, it is shocking. A real SLUM.

I arrived at the resort on CNY eve and lucky for us there was still rooms available. The room was clean, comfortable. the 2 queen beds were ample for my family. However, there is 2 unsightly gaps that have been covered in bricks in the bathroom. The mgt didn't even bother to plaster it up and paint over it. The bathtub doesnt work and the bidet hose was leaking.

We headed for Animal Safari soon after. The ticket was very pricey. The enclosed safari area was poorly maintained and the queue for the rides were long and uncomfortable. The poor lioness and tiger cubs at the entrance were heavily drugged for photograph purposes and each photo taken was charged RM21. That is totally inhumane. We managed to catch the elephant show which was quite entertaining.

The next morning we went to water world. Due to the long festive weekend, the crowd was large. Tickets cost RM40 per adult inclusive of food coupons. There was only one restaurant/cafe (sidewalk cafe) catering to the whole park and queue to collect/buy food is at least 1 hour long. The snacks sold is outrageously overpriced RM1.50 for 2 measly nuggets and RM4 for a lousy cup of Milo?? Music from the wave pool was blaring too loud playing the same songs over and over again.

The worst experience of all was trying to shower and change in the ladies changing room. It was packed to the brim as it was the ONLY changing room in the whole park for a crowd of at least 1000 people...??? it was dirty, wet and dreadful. I quickly changed into dry clothes and would rather wait and endure 2 hour drive back to KL for a good shower.

For RM40 per person, better facilities are expected at the park. I will not return there for a second time and I shall try to influence my friends and family against going there.

It is just a waste of money and time!! such a rip off!

Took the family for a 2D1N trip to A Famosa. The reception desk screwed up my bookings, eventually gave us our rooms. We had 3 units booked. The units had a stench and the rooms was just so-so. The unit I stayed in had a strong cigarette smell. The 2nd unit had a few fused out bulks. The 3rd unit had it's Master Bedroom lock spoiled his we couldn't event access the room!

We had the 2 bedroom apartment which comes with 2 bathrooms. The water pressure was SMALLER than a "baby's pee". The reason they gave us were we are staying in the top flood (20th floor). Bear in mind, we didn't request for the top floor. We ended up having to fill the bath tub with water and bath using the drinking cup from the kitchen.

Food was another pain staying there. Nearest drive is to Tampin, Negeri Sembilan which is about a 20min drive from the Condo. Else a drive to Melaka city to enjoy the famous chicken rice balls or Nyonya food will take you 1hr.

My suggestion is to just book a hotel in Melaka city and make A Famosa a day trip for the family. The apartment was costly and there is nothing good about it to say.
