I wasn't to pleased with my stay here for a few reasons it came off with a real dodgy vibe They don't have eftpos or credit card facilities and want to charge you extra money to process your payment in about a month as I was told and then was pressured into paying with cash even being told where the...

Sound's strange, Maybe our staff member was new and was lacking in some training and guidance at the time of your stay. I do recall that I was ill at that time, so training was done by Staff, Sometimes at the start of a contract with new staff we can experience lack of guidance, mostly not the case, however can...

My partner and I stayed in the "Double Room", the photo's of the room were nothing like the actual room, the floor was covered in half scrapped off paint, everything was dusty and the bed was extremely uncomfortable and was not the bed pictured in the photos supplied. The actual bed was much lower and "worn". The room had not...

My stay at the hostel was just great! If felt like beeing home.. It's such a cosy, nice and lovely place to stay and rest! The stuff is really nice and helpful and tries to make your stay as comfortable as they can. If you want to chill and relax, go to Chillawhile!

The room was really warm during the night even though outside temperature was below zero. Staffs were super friendly and respected our privacy. At night, the room was very quiet make it super easy to get to sleep as most of the guests stayed in the TV room. Howerver, there was no free wifi in this hostel.

Thank you for your review, It is important the information is correct, I want to state that we are a hostel with NO TV, there is no TV on site at Chillawhile in private or communal areas. - instead we have multiple communal areas where our guests are encouraged to create a social creative environment focused around music art and...

Cool place, good price... can't ask for more aye! Nice idea having a piano and other musical instruments, plus the painting room! It's well located and clean. Friendly staff, a pitty they don't know much about the city, once I asked a good place to eat and nobody was able to answer that simple question.

The review below is hilariously off the mark and clearly from a person who doesn't usually stay in backpackers. This hostel was fantastic. We stumbled upon it by accident when the more central backpackers were fully booked, but we were really glad to have unearthed such a gem. We arrived to a guest playing on the piano in reception while...

Awesome environment, staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Stayed for a week and would definitely stay again. Real cool art everywhere. Great chill-out communal spots, people sharing food and drink. Well-spirited people; Loved it!

Their website describes the place as 'social clean accommodation offering a friendly environment'. ALL LIES! The staff were rude and my room had a thick layer dust on the window sills with sprinkling of dead flies to top of it. If that was the extent cleanliness problems I couldn't tell, the dated decor may just be dated or it may...

We only stayed a night but this hostel left a good impression. It is homely and set in an impressive house. They encourage backpackers to leave their mark by painting pictures for the walls of their gallery/reception area. Stay here for a comfortable and relaxed travel experience.

Great fun stay. We had a good sized double room just off the reception/art studio area. There was a wonderful outdoor area with ample seating around the grounds. The three kitchens were nicely set up, up stairs and down, and had lovely lounge rooms filled with games and musical instruments. All in all a fun place to stay and highly...
