I really enjoyed my stay here - one of the best hostels on my travels so far! The atmosphere is warm and friendly, plenty of space for relaxing and the free choc pudding is delish. I like the "no mobile hour" between 8-9pm, it makes you interact and converse with others. The kitchen was cleaned daily and there was ample...

I stayed here two times (one week and half and one night). The facilities are perfect. Good, free and fast Wi-Fi. Very good beds. Free pudding the night. Nice and helpful staff. Great atmosphere between guests. Not a big hostel. Great policy to encourage social interaction between guests. Place to stay if you are in Nelson.

Such nice staff! Super helpful and accommodating. This is one of the best hostels I've been to. Clean. Friendly. Free wifi. No cool kid attitude. Just good vibes, mellow guests and awesome staff! Thanks you for letting us park our room tent on the parking lot! Awesome stay. Thanks!

This place is really neat, with a warm and inviting atmosphere and most of the people here are serious about traveling and less about getting drunk. I highly recommend this place, it actually doesn't feel like a backpackers at all more like home with free breakfast and an amazing pudding every day. Thank you Tasman Bay Backpackers I'll definitely be...

This hostel offers really great common spaces: a huge kitchen with every amenity, the best one we've ever been to, and a nice living room with a fireplace, lots of sofas and books. They also give you free chocolate pudding with ice-cream every night! The structure was clean and the staff very helping. We enjoyed our stay and would definately...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and then a further 1 night on either side of a 3 day hike in Abel Tasman. Both occasions the hostel was clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful, letting us keep our bags in a lock-up whilst we were away. It is central enough to walk to town but...

Had a great stay in Tasman Bay Backpackers! Rooms and beds are comfortable and you feel very welcomed. Especially the social hour (avoid using electronical devices) is a great idea to bring people together! I loved to play the guitars! Nice and clean kitchen as well, you'll find everything that you need. At 8 o'clock you get chocolate pudding with...
