Baywick Inn is a charming villa restored lovingly, full of Victoriana and native timbers. The bedding is extremely comfortable and the hosts, Tim & Janet, will do anything to assist. Perfect location next to the Maitai River, near to Queens Gardens and the Suter Gallery, and an easy stroll to town or the Centre of NZ. Janet's breakfast frittata -...

We were fortunate enough to stay here over Christmas. The hosts made us very welcome and went out of their way to ensure all our needs were attended to. We were provided with an excellent breakfast each day and in addition a special brunch on Christmas Day, which was superb. We had a wonderful apartment which was very spacious, comfortable...

Wonderful breakfast Hosts could not be more friendly or helpful. The house has a beautiful setting at the junction of two rivers, all night I could hear the river running. However for me I prefer something more modern. Our room was spacious but the toilet/shower was very small as were the steps which is normal in houses of that era....

Thank you for taking the time to review the Baywick Inn. Had we know earlier that you liked a more 'modern house' we could have advised you to book one of our rooms in the 'new cottage' that is at the rear of the property also along the river. One of the 'modern rooms' is located on the ground floor...

We initially booked to stay for only one night at the beginning of our trip, but when our travel plans changed we returned to spend another night here. Incredibly welcoming couple who run it will book great restaurants, taxis, or even perhaps just give you a lift somewhere. The place has character and is very homely; it's spotlessly clean; with...

Three couples booked three rooms here for three nights, Christmas, 2016. It was the perfect venue, from the walk to Christmas Eve services at the Cathedral to the delicious Christmas brunch served by Janet. One couple booked the ground floor apartment in the back of the property, so we had a full kitchen for our own Christmas dinner and gift...

We had the privilege of staying at the Baywick Inn in November 2016. Nothing was too much trouble for proprietors Janet and Tim. Delicious breakfasts, fantastic local advice and a beautiful room including bathtub in the middle of the lounge! Loved being able to use the Inns bikes to get around. Loved the proximity to town. Thanks Janet and Tim,...

Really cosy and charming house, with a lovely "old-world" feel - a stone's throw from Nelson town centre. Breakfasts were delicious, with beautiful fresh fruit, home-made muesli and a cooked option each morning. Perhaps the highlight was our chat with the hosts Tim and Janet each morning, and their tips and stories about New Zealand proved to be an invaluable...

We stayed for three nights with Janet and Tim at Baywick and had a fantastic time. The house is very well situated; 5 minutes' walk from the centre of Nelson and there is an excellent 20 minute stroll to the centre of New Zealand next to the house. The building is a stunning, traditional 1890s New Zealand house which Janet...

If you are after the usual run of the mill hotel type accommodation don’t bother staying at the Baywick Inn. Thank you for your kind review, we are so glad you enjoyed your B&B experience here. Our lovely room upstairs in this rimu riverside B&B had a small private sunroom at the front, perfect for cups of tea and storing luggage and a spacious bathroom.
