This motel is quite lovely. It was well appointed, with amenities we require. But as in nearly every place we find in New Zealand, it only had one wash cloth for the two of us. (Why is that?) WiFi was sufficiently limited that we were unable to stay online and make the photo posts that we like to do when...

Dear mcnicolb, Thank you for your review. We are happy that your stay with us was enjoyable. Re the face cloths. In all our units there are the appropriate number of face cloths to each guest staying plus a coloured make up face cloth. These can always be found in the bathroom cupboard along with soap, extra toilet paper and...

We spent 2 weeks traveling around the south island staying at all different motels and the boutique motel was our favorite by far. Very helpful staff that were happy to advise us on activities to do around the area and traveling to our next stop. Also had a very nice, clean, comfortable and well equipped room.

Dear CalebO, Thank you for your review. We are only too happy to help our guests especially those from outside of New Zealand as they have come to one of the best areas in the South Island. There is much to see and do and sometimes time is limited so local advice is the best way to work out where...

We spent 4 nights at the Boutique Motel and were only in the room to sleep since our objective was to take advantage of all the sights, hikes, and activities in the area. Nicky, the owner was very helpful as she provided restaurant recommendations as well as local sights to visit. The room is very neat, clean and comfortable. Ground...

Again a business trip and lack of forward planning left me at the mercy of what was available. Boutique Motel, basically on the main road in Stoke, very clean and tidy, quiet location. Handy to a pub, several small takeaway/cafe dining options and supermarkets. Room was comfortable and I would have no problems getting booking again.

Dear Grumpy Cabbage, Many thanks for your review on your stay with us. This is appreciated. You are correct in saying that because of your late booking there was not much accommodation left in Nelson (normal for this time of the year) so we were happy that we could assist in supplying you a place to stay whilst here for...

Very well presented boutique accommodation provider. Nicky the owner was lovely, friendly and very pleasant. Room was extremely well presented, comfortable bed, clean bathroom with nice hot shower. Good selection of channels on Sky TV which is now not always the norm. Quirky tiny ironing board but it did the job. From some small touches you gather these are professional,...

We enjoyed a wonderful room with spa bath, and lots of room. We would probably stay here again. However, all the rooms that we saw are on the second floor with an outside, uncovered stairway entrance. (Perhaps a wheelchair accessible room was available, but we did not see nor were informed about it.) It was very rainy during our two...

Dear Compost4all, Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed the unit that you booked. I have found it interesting your comment about our access units considering you did not require one. We do have 2 of these and they are of course on the ground floor whereas your unit was on the 1st floor. I would have...

I stayed for a week in a room with a small kitchen. Very clean, comfortable and well-maintained. I did not have a car but everything I needed was close by. The bus stop is across the street, so it's very east to get to Nelson or the beach. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Boutique Motel Nelson.... Peter and I stayed here on the recommendation of relatives who live in the area.
