My boyfriend and I stayed for a night there, after many days of camping in a tent. The manager was very nice, even if he couldn't pick my French accent haha ! That was funny. The room, on the 1st floor, was very clean and bright, with a large window and nice soft linen. The TV and the small fridge...

We booked through booking.com for 3 people but apparently the booking came through as 2 people (but in a room for 3). When we arrived Tony (presented as the manager) wanted to make us pay an extra charge of 19 NZD for the third person. We were confused because we booked for 3 persons and didnt expect any extra charge....

Thank you for the review as a lawyer you will understand facts. You made the booking for 2 people with Booking.com, but arrived with 3 people and did not want to pay the extra person charge of $19. Booking .com confirms the booking with a reservation number, I confirm the booking with a reference number both of which state, date...

Clean, comfortable room. Made to feel really welcome on arrival. Lovely cat too! Room had everything we needed for a two night. Great continental breakfast . Lots of choice. . Liked the back gate which takes you straight to the local pub restaurant. Our host gave us plenty of info of the things to do and about the wineries. Free...

Arrived 4 pm and the room was ready, check in was easy and quick. Tony was very friendly showed us the room and where to park. He recommended a few places to eat and drink. Motel has a very nice garden area to sit and enjoy. Room is clean, no kitchen but there is a free continental breakfast. Good bed,...

We instantly felt welcomed here with tips on arrival as to what to do in the area, specifically which were the top wineries to visit. Good breakfast provided, clean, spacious rooms and good wifi. Staff were very friendly and I'd recommend it to travellers passing through Nelson.

Clean and comfortable room with large bathroom the additional single bed which we didn't require did make the room a bit cramped. Good welcome from host along with his cheery demeanour over self serve continental breakfast. While a bit out from the city centre there are multiple eating places within a few minutes walk (one has a back gate through...

We did not book our accommodation in the Nelson area and came across the Aloha Lodge. There were four of us on our trip. We stayed for two nights in the upstairs unit which I would recommend which looked out onto a big park and the beach was within walking distance which was fabulous. Tony was very helpful and kind...

Our few days in Nelson, at Aloha was delightful. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast is delicious and the level of customer support by Tony, is terrific. We greatly appreciated Tony's advice on where we could undertake lively walks in the vicinity. The close vicinity to the beach, iconic cafes and restaurants and fish shops is so convenient. It is...

Tony needs to employ someone else to work for him. He does everything here and is clearly grumpy in doing so. The only thing going is the location. Lovely spot across from the beach where you can enjoy a marvellous Nelson sunset or a swim. The walls are paper thin and most rooms are on the one floor. Property only...
