It has been over a month since my husband and I stayed at Wakefield Quay House and I have hesitated writing this review but as someone who relies on others' experiences, I felt compelled to share our own. Yes, there are many great things about Wakefield Quay House -- Woodi is a fabulous hostess and a marvelous cook. Her knowledge...

Just across the street from the ocean and within walking distance of several excellent restaurants this cozy B & B was perfect for or three days in Nelson. The owners Woodi and Johnny are wonderful hosts in their charming home decorated with local art. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable . Woodi's breakfats were sumptuous and we muchenjoyed the...

We arrived at Wakefield Quay and could not have received a warmer more friendly welcome. We were shown to our room The Crows Nest, which was a delight, full of character and charm, great views of the bay and a lovely balcony complete with World War Two binoculars to use. Breakfasts each morning were to die for and thoroughly enjoyed....

Our 2 night stay at Wakefield was made fabulous not just because the comfy room with the special stunning ocean views, and the delightful drinks and local snacks provided by Woody, the hostess. Wow, yes please - what an idyllic place to stay! Amazing host in Woodi. Such a beautiful people person. Our room and en suite were luxurious. Amazing attention to detail. I just want to go back - now! So welcoming to our friends. The price you pay for the view is traffic noise - um get over it!

Its location & views are fabulous, but what really keeps us returning to Wakefield Quay House is the marvellous hospitality shown by hosts Woodi & Johnnny Moore. For them WQH is clearly a labour of love, and they've created an exceptional holiday destination in their impeccably restored heritage home. Woodi's commitment to giving guests the best possible stay is especially...

My wife and I had a superb stay while we were in the area to visit Abel Tasman National Park. The inn itself is beautiful -- immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable. Woody, the innkeeper and owner, might as well be the mayor of the town. She knows all of the best restaurants, and she will call to make...

Hard to put into words how good our stay was here. Woodi is the perfect host, great recommendations on how to spend your time in, and around, Nelson and nothing is too much trouble. Unique to this B&B are: 1. the stunning views across the Tasman Bay. Book the Crows Nest if you can, a view from the balcony and...

Tomorrow morning we will have to say goodbye to Wakefield Quay House - let's hope it's adieu and not goodbye - I'd hate to think we won't return. I've rarely felt as at home as this - and we're on the other side of the world! Woodi and Johnny have been such wonderful hosts and have treated us like valued...
