What more can be said about Arcadia Lodge. David and Brad are perfect hosts with nothing too much trouble. They have a wealth of knowledge about the area. If you want a greasy breakfast don't stay here instead have a different cooked breakfast every morning lovingly prepared by David and Brad.Great loacation as well only a 10 min walk in to...

Arcadia Lodge is a delightful B&B situated just outside the small town of Russell, well within short walking distance. The views from Arcadia Lodge are wonderful. David and Brad are very welcoming and provide super breakfasts which are tasty and different from the norm...such a welcome change. The room was very comfortable with everything we could wish for. Two years ago, (at the end of a long journey across both the north and south islands of NZ), we spent 3 days at Arcadia Lodge. When preparing for another trip in 2014, there was no question where we would spend our entire 12 day Christmas and New Year holiday. For the past 32 years, my husband and I have...

This was our first stop on our New Zealand trip and was worth the 3 hr + drive from Auckland. The setting is stunning and Russell is a great place that caters for most needs sports and sightseeing wise. Arcadia Lodge is amazing and the hosts, David and Brad, attentive without being intrusive. Their attention to detail was welcome as...

We stayed here for 2 nights in January. Brad and David were very helpful, welcoming but unobtrusive. Our room was beautifully furnished with a large double bed and ensuite with Eco toiletries. We were apparently the only room without a sea view or terrace - this wasn't a problem as we had the main terrace off the lounge to ourselves...

We stayed 3 nights at the beginning of New Zealand Odyssey and it could not have been a better place to stay. The place is a short walk into the village of Russell where there are good dining options. Our room (Te Punga) had a large terrace overlooking the water, a separate seating area, bedroom and spacious bathroom (in fact...

Everything you read about this delightful accommodation and friendly and knowledgeable hosts is true and more. Arcadia Lodge is a short walk to the village of Russell and has the most stunning views of the bay. Just sitting on the...

While the setting in New Zealand's beautiful Northland was the initial attraction, I'm convinced we would have enjoyed our stay at Arcadia Lodge no matter where it was. David and Brad are excellent hosts and their lodge is immaculate. The delicious breakfasts were a great start to every day there and their advice and assistance on booking excursions and evening...

We had a really lovely stay at this B&B and would definitely return again. The house was charming and very comfortable, with good views over the harbour and a convenient walking distance into Russell. Breakfasts were delicious with homemade jams and locally sourced organic produce. Brad and David were excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful with very good suggestions for...

Impeccable was the first word, followed by many many more good adjectives. The views of the bay from the balcony were just breathtaking, but the house itself was no less stunning. I had the chance to stay in 3 different rooms, all of them so meticulously maintained, with unbelievable attention to details that it showed. And great breakfast! David was...
