The Hotel is in an attractive old building, and the Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the bathroom was very small. The breakfast was adequate, but not brilliant - nobody in sight (one has to pre-order the evening before). The juice was fermented, both cereal and hot course served simultaneously -it was a pity as the...

I was told that each room in Devereux has its own style and own name which makes it very unique from other hotels. I stayed in Cairo room which has a Egypitian style design inside the room. Room is quiet at night cos the building is not close to the main road. Location is perfect, 15 min drive to town,...

We love this place, we've stayed here definitely more than 10 times! Have read the negative reviews and feel like I need to defend the reputation of the place. Me and my wife discovered this gem long time ago, and every time we are satisfied! When the question was where to spend our first night as husband and wife the...

Me and my partner booked a night for $120 for Provence room (standard room). Room was clean with all the amenities inside. I honestly love the rooms and the cleanliness, but reception is not as warm as we wanted. Overall, we had a great stay as it was quite in the night.

After camping for a month we were very excited to stay in a hotel and this one came close to what we were looking for but didn't quite hit the mark. I think we payed too much and were expecting more. They offered laundry service for extra and we agreed because we needed clean clothes for our flight the next...

Beautiful rooms, smaller as we got the cheapest room but great value. the bathroom and room was clean. Had tv, mini fridge, we had a bay window with a sit down area was so...

Placed in Remurara lies this charming old style hotel, the entrance to the reception has plenty of character with a long and wide staircase leading you to the rooms, all the rooms are individual named and charming when you enter them with lots of Nik knacks around the room which adds to the charm, I found the room to be...

A wonderful place to check in to. Free parking, beautiful rooms with ensuite bathrooms. The staff at the reception are very helpful. Comfortable beds and quiet surroundings. And, its only a 15 minute drive to Auckland CBD.

I booked for two nights in the Rangitoto Room at The Devereux. Having read previous reviews, I'd almost packed soap, just in case but thought, no, the management has engaged in answering those previous criticisms, so there should be no problem. The room was interesting, to say the least. A cow skin on the floor and a slightly moth-eaten-looking fawn...
