Manbulloo Homestead is a unique rural family owned and operated Caravan Park with large shady grassed powered and unpowered caravan and camp sites. One bedroom and 2 bedroom self contained cabins and motel rooms are available. The property is situated on the banks of the Katherine River, which is located13.5 kms from the main street of Katherine. Fishing, bird watching and bush walks are available. The property runs a commercial cattle herd.
Good clean cabins, quiet lush setting, with the real highlight a working cattle station where we could feed the water buffalo and the Brahman cattle with the hosts. Out of town makes it safer, quieter and less hassle

Situated just out of Katherine, this is a beautiful peaceful park. Small walk to the river where you can go fishing or read a book. Large grassy sites with plenty of shade; or the option to have full sun. Clean amenities and large camp kitchen. Staff are helpful and friendly. As it’s just out of town it’s safe and very quiet with a sealed road. Live music some nights on an old truck stage. Animal feeding in the mornings and afternoons! Don’t listen to the negative review, they clearly thought they were heading to a 5 star resort on the Gold Coast. This is a station stay and a bloody good one at that!

We stayed here for 4 nights in June. The staff could not have been more helpful; always happy to chat and helped us get our van into position which can sometimes be a challenge. Approx 10 mins out of Katherine, we felt really safe and would definitely stay there again. Place has a really good feel.

Wonderful grassy sites with plenty of space. The staff were super friendly and very helpful offering information about Katherine. Clean unisex toilets and showers and a large communal fire pit and BBQ area. Take a walk to the river, it’s so peaceful and pretty down there.

The whole place is badly run-down & desperately in need of a good cleanup & proper maintenance. 1. Roads into site badly needs some repair work 2. Arrival parking area is a dustbowl 3. Decaying vehicles, half filled skip bins, damaged rubbish bins scattered around 4. Reception is a mess, manual booking system & Staff who have little or no idea of what's going on Some van/camping sites are shaded & grassed, others in full sun & with several inches of bulldust under foot. 5. Some of the older amenities blocks in a poor state of disrepair & could do with a damn good clean, a proper pressure clean & some bleach to remove mould/mildew. 7. Laundry facilities very basic, most of the Washers & Dryers marked as 'OUT of ORDER' ($6.00 per load) 9. The 'Dog Wash' is just an old hydro-bath tub with a hose 10. Numerous dogs wandering the site, unleashed, not under control.... this includes an employees 'mongrels' freely roaming ... 11. Van/camping sites not clearly designated, poor signage everywhere ! 12. Power outlets difficult to find & in some cases require climbing a ladder to reach. 13. Water faucets difficult to locate and attach too. 14. Virtually no maintenance to trees & shrubbery, large piles of green waste & palm fronts, branches etc scattered around the site 16. Derelict buildings scattered around perimeter of grounds .. can only be likened to that of being 'humpies' ... The whole property needs a damn good clean up, modernising and brought up to a reasonable standard. …

From booking to check out nothing seemed to be too much hassle for this place. Welcoming staff in reception. The River walk running alongside the homestead is lovely. Clean toilet block. I had a beautiful shady site which I requested in booking as had a pop up camper with lots of canvas. Family and pet friendly. A welcome change from the commercial caravan parks. Would highly recommend as your base to explore Katherine and Nitmiluk National Park.

Office ladies nice and helpful. Paid $36 for a powered site only to be abused by a rude man ground staff, yapping dog till after 9pm and inebriated inconsiderate neighbours thanks very much! Nice shady sites amenities are ok. Sewerage smells

I am sorry you had a bad experience. We had one of our septic tanks pumped out, which has to happen during our busy season due to the large numbers of users at this time of the year. If there are any problems with dogs or other clients a phone call to the office will solve this problem. Sorry you had a bad experience with a staff member, we have spoken to our staff and this won't happen again. Pleasant travels.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay on a level, grassed, shady, large powered site. Loved the design of the amenities always maintained and clean. Thanks Brian for a great experience, knowledge given and just absolute fun on the buffalo and cow drive. Just lovely to access the river walk and enjoy and relax with the sounds of the river / bird life. Staff just lovely and friendly. Such a great place to relax. Still close enough to town. Thank you so much . We will see you on our return journey. Cheers Dave & Tania

Stayed in a powered site under the lovely shady trees, was nice to see green grass. The amenities where clean and fit for purpose. A lady was singing on the truck stage which was great. Loved how the weaners where in the close paddock on one side so you could get close enough to give them a pat and 2 lovely horses in the back paddock also came up for a scratch. great park, lovely owner, will be back.
