My family and I have just recently stayed at this resort and had a fantastic time. Except for day 1, where the hotel didn't have the rooms we paid for, which was rectified the very next day, our trip and experience at this resort was amazing. First of all, the hotel grounds are always kept in immaculate condition. The staff...

I spent one week in March at the GBP El Portillo with my two young children. The resort was small, which I liked. Grounds were well kept, rooms clean and comfortable. Food was good, many people were remarking on how good it was. They definitely put a lot of effort into it, though I question some of their meal options...

This was our fourth visit to this resort with Air Canada Vacations. We travelled as a group of family members for a family wedding. We received our room assignments on the bus from the airport. Most of the group did not end up with the requests they asked for ie couples got 2 beds and singles sharing rooms got king...

Loved this resort! Food was amazing! Was really surprised how good the buffets were! Beach buffet was perfect for lunch! The beach was fantastic! You could walk forever and feel safe! Snorkeling right in front of the resort was a bonus! The rooms are just Ok they need updating but no real complaints as we did not spend much time in there!...

Stayed here from March 12-19. We travelled as a group of ten with five adults and five children/teens. The resort itself is beautiful and is very secluded. You could walk for miles on the beach and only see a few other guests from the same resort. Felt very safe walking in either direction on the beach. The staff is very...

We just returned on march 19. The trip to the hotel was beautiful mountains and ocean view. Our rooms were big and very quiet. They were cleaned every day and always had fresh towels and face cloths. The fridge was restocked daily. I can't say enough about the food excellent and who wouldn't want to have breakfast and lunch right...

+Really nice and well maintained hotel with spectacular views. Well kept gardens. Everything is super clean! +Nice staff. They had always smile on their faces even though there were sometimes small language barriers; it's good to know some basics of Spanish when you go there +Nice beach with small coral reefs just 10-30 meters from the shore +Buffet was excellent!...

First of all don't believe Thomson/First Choice that it's a two hour transfer from the airport to the resort it's actually three and half hours! Don't pay for a private taxi transfer you won't get here any quicker! The English don't get an all dancing singing welcome like the French Canadians and others do. To be honest I wouldn't say...
