I went to Las Terrenas for the first time on a little short trip from Santo Domingo. We searched online and came across this cute little hotel. It was 3 of us so we booked the 2 bedroom bungalow. When we arrived we drove up a dirt road and there we saw it, the cutest little set up of bungalows...

This sweet place is a home away from home. Annette and Leo are the most charming owners. They treat you like family and go the extra mile. The personal touch they add far exceeds any five star resort. It is tucked just off the main street and a very quick walk to the beautiful beaches. It's perfect in location as...

Excellent stay. Nice clean spacy and quiet bungalows in a beautifull garden. Very good breakfast prepared by Lily. Ham Cheese, eggs, french baguette, lots of fresh fruit.... and home made excellent marmelade not too sweet and 100% fruit. Close to the beach. Very good advice from Annette, who knows the region very well and who makes you feel like you...

This was our second trip to Las Terrenas and we decided to go back to the Iguana. Nice surprise to see that the seafront road has been fixed completely! What to say ... we enjoyed our stay, as the previous time, it was nice to meet Annette again, nice to be there and ... we will be back!!!

Spent 3 nights at this little group of "cabins" a minute's walk off the beach. Went with my girlfriend, and found that the rooms, though quaint, were absolutely perfect for the two of us. We are the kind of people who need a room, not a resort, but the breakfast every morning became a nice comfort. The community kitchen was...

Loved staying here. Short walk to the beach. Private, clean bungalows. Great service. Unbelievable breakfast! Beachy elegance. Annette was a wonderful hostess and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The Iguana has it all: quiet, friendly owner and staff, good location and a great breakfast. . The owner, Annette, knows the entire Samana Peninsula very well and can arrange any type of tour , car rental, flights, etc you might need. The hotel is a little more than a five minute walk to the beach where you can find...

In Feb, 2008 I returned to the Iguana Hotel for the second time. I am a lucky lady! Annette (the owner) is an exceptional lady and greeted us with open arms. My 3 girlfriends & I shared a 2 bedroom bungalo. My daughter and her husband joined us for the long weekend (they were living in Santo Domingo at the...

We loved the Hotel Iguana. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt we were at our home away from home. Annette was so welcoming and kind. She let us "borrow" her dogs during the day and we took them with us to the beach, just a short walk from the hotel. The free breakfast was...

I thought the service and attention to detail was lovely. The breakfast was delicious. I loved the bungalows, though I thought the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. I did not like the way Annette berated her staff, as it seemed completely at odds with the lovely way she greeted and interacted with her guests.
