Originally I booked up this place by email for three nights (leaving on the 14th July). Then I changed my mind because i wanted to shorten my journey to Darwin on the 14th July. I let the resort know about this change of mind and booked a night in Timber Creek on the 13th July. This resort claimed that they did not know about this and charged me for 3 nights, not 2 nights. Crumbs, I checked out on the 13th July so they could easily have let someone else have the room on the 13th July, but chose not to do so. I complained about this but it was a waste of time because the resort stated they knew nothing of my change of plan. I would urge future travellers to be careful in booking at this resort if they want to make changes. On the 13th I asked to see my invoice but was told it was sent to my gmail account; the resort had no wi-fi available for visitors, so I was completely excluded from seeing my bill. Talk about lack of transparency. Surely if the resort had been above board and completely ethical they would have let me know what my bill was and not sent it to my gmail account. Clearly I am very unhappy being charged for the 3rd night when I was not at Ivanhoe Resort but in Timber Creek.

Hi Peter, We would like to clarify your current review, you made a booking with Booking.com which is a third party provider, no amendments were made to your booking and we have no record of you speaking to our staff. All our staff are instructed to advise guests making changes that they need to go back to their third party provider as we can't control the booking process. We don't actually have your gmail account on record so I am not sure who advised they were sending your account to you. Your invoice would have been available through booking.com as we don't charge you they do. Unfortunately we are fully booked through out the peak season and do on occasions have guests leave early but our cancellation policy is firm especially within 7 days. I would urge you to follow up with booking.com for all account enquiries. We are a proud family owned and operated park and certainly not unethical as you stated.

Dusty, small sites, unsupervised kids racing around the park on bikes not addressed by Management. Amenities not good - 1 soap dispenser for all of men's toilets and 1 dispenser for all of men's basins (both empty much of the time) and same for women, no paper towels at all and no electric hand dryers anywhere in mens. Men's shower blocked and so you are standing in grey water to shower. Disgraceful. Powered sites at $50 pn!!

Thanks for your review Marc, we are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. In regards to the amenities, we are waiting on delivery of new dispensers and hand dryers as these were damaged. We were not aware that the mens shower was blocked and will attend to this immediately. In regards to children riding bikes around the park, this has been addressed and parents have been given particular safe areas for children to ride their bikes in, being school holidays there are many children staying with us enjoying being out in the sunshine.

Hi Rhonda, thanks for your review, we did have a incredibly beautiful family group arrive after hours all the way from Darwin. It is challenging to set up tents in the dark and we are sorry that you experienced excessive car door slamming. On a side not however we do not tolerate the throwing of rubbish at any of our guests nor being rude or disrespectful to them. I have tried calling you to discuss this matter. We wish you well on your travels. I have provided you with a link of Australian school holiday dates. You might consider not travelling within these dates next time. https://www.australia.com/en/facts-and-planning/when-to-go/australian-school-holidays.html

Fantastic stay! We planned for 2 nights and spent a week. About 1km from centre of town. Easy walk. Great pool, always kept clean. Camp kitchen cleaned every day. Free BBQ and cooktops, 2 big fridges you can use. Facilities cleaned everyday, always tidy. Plenty of showers and toilets. Lots of shade and green grass in campground. Mangers/owners are great people, always friendly and up for a chat and happy to help out with anything. Definitely recommend. Great price. Will stay again.

We stayed 1 night on powered site. Nice park, plenty of space. Sophie @ reception was delightful, upbeat& helpful. The park Roads need repair as the pot holes are huge. Plus - It’s a shame every one puts their rates up so much in the peak season - May to September or we would have stayed longer.

We last visited Kununurra 3 years ago. Delay was due to pandemic & border closures. We stayed at Ivanhoe caravan park & once again spent one week here. Booking having been made we arrived & were greeted in a friendly manner. Key to gate & on suite attached to site we proceeded to park our motorhome & set up. The park & surroundings were as clean and as tidy as it was on our previous visit. I needed gas bottle filled ‘ no problem staff said’ we will deliver it to your site for you. It is always comforting to receive that little bit extra service so cheerfully. A very clean& tidy establishment. I can highly recommend if you are visiting Kununurra.

We have been at this caravan Pk for nearly a week, the pool is freezing even though it is 33c today the spa doesn’t work. The lights have mould around them. The toilets and showers are ok the washing machines only cost $3 The roads need redoing and need to be swept otherwise it’s a not bad caravan pk

Stayed 2 nights at the Caravan Village, found the accomodation and service comfortable, mattresses maybe a little old! Could appreciate would have had a tough previous 12 months with lockdowns etc. The site was great, easy walk to shops and a good continental breakfast in our cabin. Must add staff friendly and obliging to all our group.

We had to go into Isolation in our Caravan. We had an Ensuite Site . Two weeks of Isolation is not easy, Thanks to the Manager Sally we survived. She is the best Caravan Manager we have met in 6 years of travel. She collected our Click and Collect , went into town and got our Mail. She even brought Inflatable pools for other people who were in isolation. After a huge storm, she was out in the rain making sure everyone was alright. Then she went and cleared all the fallen trees.👏👏👏👏👏
