We stayed 2 nights before commencing our Kimberley tour and then again for 2 nights after the tour. The location is perfect for visitors to Kununurra without a vehicle. Highly recommend the staff, an excellent restaurant, the pool, beautiful gardens and the rooms are of a very good quality with a continental pillow as well as a regular pillow and cushion. Very quiet and restful. Naveen "Mr Everywhere" was so helpful during our stay and provided good local advice. Best wishes to everyone at KCCR working through the current pressures and issues. You are doing a great job.
The country club is well placed in Kununurra. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotlessly clean and the king bed super comfy. Restaurant had good food and good service. Lovely venue overall and would be happy to stay there again next time I am in Kununurra
Extremely average accommodations. The title Country Club Resort is extremely deceiving when it comes with certain expectations regarding the quality of the rooms : poor lighting, poor shower and bathroom, poor internet!!! The sink is so high that you cannot wash your face without getting your entire trunk and legs soaked in water!!. I have never encountered this anywhere IN THE WORLD!!! Very disappointed !!!!
Having had a bad fall near Emma Gorge I had an extra night at this resort. The manager was more than helpful to me and I really appreciated her support and assistance. The facility is clean and well managed. Thank you for everything.
We stayed here for our Wedding Anniversary and were really well looked after by the staff. It was clear that they were all really busy but their attitude was excellent. A particular shout out to Naveen for his efforts to make our stay extra special. The chef at Kelly's Restaurant was also excellent.
Arrived early evening and needed a map to find the room. Iti s a bit dark and brighter lighter would be good as well as a tip that each block of rooms is two-sided! Nice to have both air conditioning and a fan. The room is large and airy with a comfortable king sized bed. The bathroom in contrast had seen belter days with a shower curtain (really) and tiles that were dated. The bar has friendly staff but they didn't really know about the drinks on offer. The buffet dinner was ok but the meats were a bit dry from being carved much earlier. The breakfasts were pretty good with a good variety of hot and cereals etc. The automated coffee machine was broken but no sign so they spent all their time being badgered. No offer of coffee from the bar where hidden away was a barista. Overall comfortable but a little tired.…
Pool was great, restaurant ok, but room was a poor 3 star. To make matters worse the AC made a noise that made sleep difficult. Complained at the morning after the first of 3 nights but nothing done. I have never been in a 4 star hotel that did not provide wine glasses.!
The gardens are lush and tranquil however a little tidy up would be good. The staff were friendly and attentive. Good job Hellen. We arrived over the Easter break to find the restaurant closed which we were not aware of.
I highly recommend Kununurra as a place to visit & experience the wonderful landscape of the East Kimberely. There is no doubt that the pandemic has been a challenge for many hospitality businesses in WA with increased local demand & difficulty sourcing staff. This venue seems to have managed this challenge well recruiting staff from as far a field as Vanuatu. This place really does have the feel of a tropical country club with a lovely pool & outdoor dining / bar area. The rooms are basic but had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The rooms were clean & well serviced. The onsite restaurant & bar provided a great place to unwind & enjoy refreshments. I am very grateful to the owner for maintaining this level of service during this challenging period. We will definitely be back for a tropical gateaway in the future. Thankyou for this lovely & hospitable experience.…
Our flight from Broome to Kununurra arrived 30 minutes early so we had to wait for our free transfer to KCC to arrive. Amanda turned up in the minivan very apologetic and a little flustered that we had to wait. She was lovely and very informative about the area and the accommodation on our 5 km trip to the resort. What concerned us most was her advice when we settle into our room was to lock away all our valuables in the safe and don’t leave anything out on the balcony. Our room was comfortable but being on the 1st floor we had to lug our suitcases up the flight of stairs to our room. No wheelchair access here. After settling in we went for dinner at the restaurant and returned for a good nights sleep, albeit with one eye open and a chair against the inside of the door. With the shortage of staff I think these guys try really hard to make your stay as good as it can possibly be.…
