Looks great online, foyer looks 4* but room lets it down. The room was dirty and mouldy. A decent walk from town so if you don't have a car, this isn't the place for you. Parking is horrible. Lovely view of Port Airlie, which was the best part. Gillian the receptionist is bubbly and helpful however her lack of trips/tours knowledge lets her down a bit but I am sure she will learn. Second receptionist is very hard faced, doesn't smile, makes you feel uncomfortable. Not at all approachable . Certainly not value for money. Overpriced for what it is. If you run out of complimentary teabags, coffee, toilet paper etc. you have to purchase more. You also have to purchase towels if you want more or pool towels. Not a place I would recommend sorry to say. There was even some kind of dirty skid marks on the floor outside the lift, which stayed there for at least 3 days, Disgusting.…

We stayed here for 5 nights and from the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who explained everything in detail. The location was fantastic as we were right across the road from the ferry terminal, a short walk down to the Jubilee Tavern, and a little longer stroll into town (not that long as we did it everyday). The room was a great size (1bdrm), comfortable bed, good size balcony. The bathroom was a good size with a spa bath. A little dated though and could use a refresh/clean of the tiles. The swimming pool was fantastic, and very deep. A great stay and we will definately be back.

The hotel is extremely unclean. There are various points of dumped rubbish around the hotel. The light from the hall came through to our bedroom resulting in a non existent sleep. When mentioning this to reception I was told ill see if I have a blanket to cover it. Hair all through the cracks of the wardrobe and dust built up in the bedroom. Looked and felt like it had to been cleaned in a while. The mini spa bath looked like you would catch something if you used it.If we didn't have ear plugs we wouldn't have been able to sleep. The setting was very beautiful. Walking in, the reception area had a nice view to a small, manmade rock waterfall which was visible from the master bedroom (room 21260 or something like that). The receptionist was very nice and understanding as we had arrived an hour early and had to wait a bit to have our room finish being cleaned. She organised to have this done ASAP. Parking was right next to the elevator, the trash chute by the elevator was actually a nice idea and very convenient, though it needed to be cleaned. Walking in to the room, we found a dead cockroach on the floor. Normally this would be a big issue, however it was dead, and 5 minutes later a pest control dude walked in (not realising the guests were in early). This was actually great to see as it shows the hotel used regular cleaning services, so you know something was being done. It would have been worse seeing a live cockroach. Our suite was big and had a beautiful ocean view, and I could throw a beer straight to the clean and blue pool below where my parents were lounging. I loved how the usable laundry pair was in the suite for our personal use and not in a shared setting. The lighting was perfect and done nicely, and the beds were soft with spare pillows. There was even a vault with a manual, though I didn't get to use it. It was a short drive to the beach, and in the morning birds would sit by the porch (DON'T FEED THESE BIRDS). The biggest issue I had with this place was the toilet. It didn't flush hard, barely a trickle of water. My daily fecal violations required multiple flushes, however the air vent you could turn on quickly got rid of the possible smell.
