Facilities, especially bathrooms are disgusting. No soap was provided in any of the bathrooms (I mean in a global pandemic this is not a good idea). The pools looked gross so we didn't get in them. We were in a tent and so had to move onto the only small patch of grass available, which was also on a hill. Would advise against using. On the plus side the location was excellent

The hostel is really big. If you are looking for a party hostel, backpackers vibes and drunk people this is your place. We were listening music and drunk people until 4am when the girl from the reception told us that there was a security guy going around and party shouldn't be a problem for resting. The kitchen is not very clean and could be way more equipped. Anyways, really well located and the staff really nice with us.

The campsites are too small. The space in between them was less than 1mt I was with a roof tent and I had to ask a new spot coz it was impossible to open it in the first spot. The bathrooms were not clean very often, they were super dirty all the times I've been there. The kitchen open at 8am!!!

Hi there, We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience staying with us. We have quite a lot of different sized spaces for campers and our receptions staff are always happy to assign guests a new spot if needed. Sometimes the campsite can be quite busy and we may only have certain types available but the spaces are on a first come first served basis and we will do our best to accommodate you. We have a regular roster for the cleaning of facilities so we are disheartened to hear you found them muddy quite often. We have passed on your feedback to relevant teams. Retraining where needed and investigation into what went wrong with your stay will be implemented. We thank you for your honest review as this helps us see where we need to improve. We hope you enjoy the rest of your travels!

This campsite is disgusting. The facilities look like they have not been cleaned in a couple months. The soap dispenser in the toilets was empty for three days straight for the duration of our stay. You may catch covid here with the disregard for sanitisation. There is one camp kitchen located up at the very top of the campground in reception. It's quite a far walk and there are no indoor tables to eat food at. At night the campsite is noisy with lots of drunk people shouting, smoking weed and playing loud music. The reception staff were friendly. Campsite, not so much.

We stayed twice this week. We have stayed here also in 2015.Last time was great but thus time was pretty disappointing. We had a private room both times. The bedding and amenities in the room were cleanalbeit sparse. We understand that backpacker resorts are low budget. The grounds were poorly maintained and this extended to the room facilities. Our checking experience was initially poor. We went to Nomads and after attempting an onsite, online check-in without success, we enquired at the tour desk there. The man was abrupt and told us we should have waited and let us know in a terse tone that we could not check-in there and had to go to X base to check in. Our bookings.com booking made no mention of this. We went to X base where the check-in was good and efficient. On our second visit the kettle was missing. After two replavements, both of which were faulty, we had to walk to the communal kichen for water for tea and coffee. Casey was apologetic and did her best. She even reset the power circuit after the second kettle tripped it. We understand there was a cyclone 3 years ago - a usual feature of North QLD. Overall, we were disappointed with the overall standard of the resort.
