Me & my boyfriend stayed here for one night (thankfully no longer!) on our trip around Australia. I have to say this is the worst accommodation I've ever stayed in. Walking up to the room I thought it looked quite big & might be nice. Once we went in it was far from it. The room was disgusting, it was...

If you're looking for a nice and cosy hostel, don't go here. There is always a long queue at the reception (def understaffed). When the staff finally helps you out they are so rude and cranky, not feeling welcome at all. Dirty bed sheets, dirty bathroom, dirty kitchen area (cockroaches everywhere). One of those places where the focus is on...

Amazing air con rooms (I stayed in two different rooms, both 6 dorm) rooms them selves were clean with god floor space, the bathrooms however could do with an upgrade. they are big but feel dirty. good sized kitchen and eating area very good location at the top of all the shops, bars and near the lagoon

When we booked this accomadtion on booking.com we were told that it was a hotel. When we arrived we realised it was a hostel. The reviews we read said it was a quiet place to stay... totally wrong! The place was rammed full of people at every hour of the day. The pictures of the rooms we saw led us...

We stayed for 4 nights in a Queen room which had a double bed, bunk beds and ensuite. There was a kitchen area with a sink, fridge, kettle and kitchen cupboards but they were empty. Upon arrival at the hostel and into our room we noted all of the warning signs for asbestos which is fairly alarming. We then noticed...

Base Airlie Beach is one of the most revolting hostels I've had the misfortune to stay in. Peter Pans booked me two nights here and so I didn't have any preconceptions about it. Upon arrival there was a huge queue which took 45 mins to get checked in. The 6 bed dorm was a breeze block style chalet which has...

Having stayed in a few Base hostels in Australia, this one was definitely the best! The rooms and really spread out in lovely grounds with trees etc. which makes it feel really spacious and relaxed. Our room was nice with good aircon and a fridge - shower was lovely and just what we needed after 3 days sailing! It's in...

Everything you need for a short stay in quite a nice location. There's a pool and hammocks and seating area but nothing special. Annoying to have to keep queuing at reception to get all cutlery & plates with a deposit. Some staff a bit rude and not very helpful. Had friends staying at Nomads just down the road and it...
