So we didn't stay here but ate multiple times at the bar and grill. We walked the Main Street and with 3 kids, 13, 11 and 9 struggled to find a cheap meal and somewhere kids could go. We walked past Beaches and didn't think kids would be allowed in but they were and with the huge menu of $15...

Rooms here and pretty average and bathrooms a little grotty but the maker of this place is the huge bar attached to it. If staying at the hostel you get $7 meals including steak which was lovely and drinks are a fair price! Ignore the picture of the pool, that definitely isn't there anymore

I booked this hostel for my upcoming Easter holiday trip through booking, com. I'm leaving for Airlie beach in less than 3 days but now the hostel unexpectedly cancelled my booking and there was no detailed, satisfied explanation for the action. I was just informed "the hostel is unable to honour this reservation and can't accommodate you so the booking is...

Hello Emma, Unfortunately our hostel was damaged by Cyclone Debbie when she came through Airlie Beach 2 weeks ago. We have had to Sadly close until all building repairs have been completed. Airlie Beach was without power for 12 days so we were unable to contact you during this time. Our head office thankfully were able to set up an...

We stayed at the Hibiscus Lodge in 1985 in room 8. Room had changed from an apartment to a double room with on suite ,view from the balcony had changed but the thrill was still there. Half priced dinners with a drink each night was a good incentive, it's not the Hilton but location, location, location. Centre of town with...

If you want a good night's rest, don't stay here. If the music doesn't keep you awake, the banging from the bar kitchen will. The bar kitchen sits under the parking so it's even louder and sounds as if they're throwing heavy pots out into the parking. Woke me up several times Other than the noise, my stay was ok....

Hi Shannon, Thank you for taking the time to review our hostel. Beaches is first and foremost a party hostel, for this reason we have live music and activities and games in our bar every night to keep our guests entertained. However, we do keep in mind that many of our guests are here to venture out in to the...

Was a bit confused as Hostelworld has this as global backpackers but it's called beaches as well, however wasn't a major issue as most hostels are all on one central street in Airlie Beach. The room was really average and contained the basics- it wasn't as dirty as some of the other comments make out, however, the shower was really...

Stayed here for two nights either side of my Whitsundays tour. Hostel is in a fantastic location, 10-15minute walk from the greyhound bus stop, right in the centre of Airlie beach and opposite the lagoon. Staff are so friendly and helpful! Also have night and day storage for bags but night storage is $6 for the duration it's in there....

it is a party hostel, very very noisy. the bar is just in front of the building. the beds are kind of old and not very comfi anymore. there are air cons in the rooms, thats very positive and the girls at the reception are nice and helpful. it's all right for one night, but not more then that.

Thank you for your review iinesaa, You are right, Beaches is a party hostel! We have a lively bar with live music and nightly entertainment for our guests. We are, however, very aware that most of our guests are here to enjoy the beautiful Whitsundays and ensure that the bar closes at 12pm every night to ensure that everyone gets...

The location is good and the staff is nice, but otherwise, the place was awful. Facilities are bad, not cleaned, mold in the bathrooms... Also the rooms are located close to the hostel bar, making it very noisy until late. The people that stayed there didn't show any respect for one another, making it difficult to get a whole nights...

Thank you for your review Alexandra. Beaches is first and foremost a party hostel, we have a busy bar that is one of the main draws of our hostel.
