This is a fairly ordinary motel room a bit tired but clean. It is not the prettiest town in the world but the service was good and the restaurant a real surprise. A really good meal that could have been served in agood hotel. Really enjoyed it.

Saturday Evening dinner with friends was great, the restaurant has a great menu and the food is well prepared and in huge portions. Highly recommended the restaurant. Sadly cannot recommend the motel. We had a room accessible directly from the parking lot, and whilst the heater and electric blanket were on for our arrival, the room was cold and damp.... More

Clean, tidy room - shower was a bit lousy (no water pressure) 2 heaters - bonus, nice electric blanket. Restaurant is a definate must. Queenstown is worth a visit if touring Tassie. Quality tea and coffee in the room.

this was the worst Ihave ever seen. Romm 52 had the paint pealing of the wall in the bathroon and looks like it ha been there a while having not been cleanedin while in the bathroom. The floor was broken near the fridge and the wardrobe which made the floor creak badly. The wardrobe doors where broken and hard to open.... More

Thanks for your review. I inspected the room with my Maintenance Manager this morning before writing this response. There was a small section of peeling paint above the shower cubicle and that will be immediately rectified. With regards to a broken floor, well it isn't. It is normal hardwood timber flooring covered with felt and new carpet. There is nothing... More

Owner was very helpful and room comfortable and well equipped. Nice and easy to find and in a great location. Any requests for plates or larger glasses were dealt with promptly and in a friendly manner.

This was a short notice visit when the weather was dodgy (snow & ice) ahead of us and it was an unavoidable stop in an otherwise very, very quiet town. The room was basic, but good value nonetheless. The staff were available when common sense suggested, although not always, but did everything they could to make our enforced stay a... More

An overnight stay in Queenstown on business recently made me want to return. The rooms are basic but comfortable, but the restaurant is outstanding! Beautiful local produce, including salmon and wallaby, and desserts that were a work of art as well as so so delicious, and to top it all off wonderful service, a good wine list and an open... More

You couldn't miss Silver Hills Motel if you tried !! It's bright Orange and Gray stand out in the back drop of Green Tree covered hill behind. Overlooking Queenstown from big panoramic windows is a treat. We stayed 2 nights and served as a good base for our adventures. The rooms are very comfortable and although the ground floor rooms... Stayed here for 3 very cold wet wintery nights but wouldn't have known it was that bad outside except I could hear the rain on the roof!! Very warm comfortable room. Really comfy queen bed and enough room to have desk space a comfy lounge chair and a microwave with tea & coffee facilities. Bathroom is not fancy but very... More

Whilst the rooms are still very old and in need of upgrading the restaurant this time offered a buffet dinner which was a huge improvement from my previous visit when I waited 2 1/2 hours for a meal that was terrible. This time food was freshly prepared with good choices. A big improvement indeed.
