We found this amazing place by chance and we loved it. Simon & Kim are delightful people and they do a wonderful job. You are made feel like you're in your own home. It is very quirky with so many odd bits and pieces all over. It is extremely clean as well. We loved it!! and we will be back...

We stayed here 2 nights in a king room. Simon checked us in, and was nothing but accommodating. The rooms and decor were well thought out, from the 60's, 70's and 80's furniture to the lighting, even the plates, glasses and mugs. The Inn was exceptionally clean, the bathroom had lovely Australian scented toiletries and the beds were really comfy....

Sweet as. A place for an experience that will stay with you. Wished we had more time for the Valley Inn. The interior design is so smick. The bed is smick. The kitchen is lovely. Just down the road is a pub that won best pub food 2014 as well.

In the HV to see James Taylor this place was available at relatively short notice for $140 per night. According to the fascade it is the former United Service Hotel, built in 192o. From street level you go up 3 flights of stairs to get to reception and the 14 rooms. Very quirky fitout (see photos) but a great little...

Simon was very welcoming, beds were extremely comfortable, room was very clean and aircon and fan worked a treat on an extremely hot day! Perfect location for the Hunter concerts. We'll definitely stay again.

We loved this hotel. Quirky retro feel with a super relaxed and friendly vibe. Breakfast was included which is serve yourself from the kitchen. Plenty of parking on site. We will definitely be returning on our next vineyards trip as it is close to many wineries and restaurants.

It Was 41 degrees when we arrived at this hotel and had to check the address. From the outside and car park you are tempted to drive away but don't. Go in and upstairs to a bright cool clean well equipped slightly quirky hotel. Breakfast ingredients supplied and. Bar restaurant 2 blocks away serves award winning food. Good location for...

Eclectic decor was fab and the working record player and great selection of vinyl was a great way to unwind after wine tasting. Kim and Simon were exemplary hosts and we loved the whole experience. Cessnock was not the liveliest or the culinary centre of the world but I wouldn't have missed staying at the Vine Valley.

Arriving in Cessnock we weren't sure what to expect from our accommodation - not helped by the dingy exterior of the hotel and the unassuming entrance in between shop fronts. After climbing the stairs, we were very pleasantly surprised. "Eclectic" is probably the best way to describe the decor - quirky and not to everyone's taste, but very well put...
