Awesome location. Right by the beach and right by all the good restaurants and bars! They also have many things to do or rent out. Also a great place to find work. Awesome workers and people that are staying there

I am sorry about the bad review. But this place is really nasty. Everything is so dirty and smells really bad. There was no soap in the bathroom and some of the door lockers were broken. Staff was okay. Can't tell anything about the breakfast. Did never eat there because the kitchen was disgusting as well. Locating is nice but...

An excellent beach , sister to Bondi beach up the road and with that becoming a popular destination for all. The Surfside is located on the seafront on top of a Maccas. This is a brilliant place with amenities , breakfast and some great people. One of the highlights of NSW and a must for anyone. Well suited to social...

The people that give this hostel anything more than a one star are either very naive or very drunk and have no recollection of their stay. The rooms are filthy, the bathrooms are disgusting, I've travelled the world and can honestly say this is the worst place I've ever stayed. God forbid anything ever happened here as safety rules are...

- RUDE staff - 3$ compulsory to pay for the "cleaning" - no ladder at the bunk beds, you need climbing skills - very BAD cereals at the FREE BREAKFAST - NO POTS just pans in the kitchen - the stove takes literally 25mins to get hot - you can SEE small COCKROACH wandering around the kitchen - no WI-FI...

The WORST hostel I have ever stayed at. I spent 4 nights here with my boyfriend and another female friend. First of all, upon arrival we were asked to pay extra money because the host said the listing price online was only for one person. They blamed Airbnb for this mistake. Beware of this when booking. After this was sorted...

as soon as we walked up to the place we could tell it was going to be unpleasant. It felt very unsafe and didn't have a nice feel to it. The man who owns it was very rude and seemed a bit too keen to grab your money off you before you can even look around the place (what a...

Unbelievable unfriendly personal. He shouted when we just entered the facility that we are the reason that he missed his lunch and that we have to hurry up. After paying the guy I asked him for a receit, he asked me three times if I'm really really sure I want to have one, because he's now missing his lunch with...

Staying in Coogee

Neighbourhood Profile
Coogee
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
