The hotel that doesn't feel like a hotel. It's lovely and homely. Staff are friendly and the house dogs are fun. The room was on the smaller side but big enough for 2 people to be comfortable; the bathroom however was tiny. It's functional but probably not great if you want a lot of privacy from your traveling companion. Also...

Stayed at the Dive Hotel at Coogee for a few days with my wife while attending a conference at a nearby hotel. I agree that the service was very good and having the dogs gave it a very homely feel. The location is excellent (although access from Arden St is awkward when carrying luggage) and the bed was very comfortable....

We stayed here on a miserable wet weekend but the Dive was the shining star of the weekend. Great location, great set up and a wonderful change to chain hotels.. We stayed in a airy twin room that despite the weather was bright and comfortable... I'll be back

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the King room which faces the beach with an unobstructed view of the ocean. The location is fabulous and if you can stretch the budget, I'd definitely recommend this room. As other reviews have mentioned, the bathrooms are very small but the ceiling is high so you don't feel hemmed in. The...

The service here is absolutely wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful! We got the warmth and feel of a family business, but completely professional in their delivery. As for the location, you are literally across the street from the beach, and in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Coogee. There can be a bit of noise...

We can definitely recommend this hotel! The staff were really friendly and chatty, location was perfect and rooms were lovely and clean! The breakfast looked delicious but there wasn't many gluten free options. Thanks for the stay, we will come back!

This is a gem of a hotel - more like a home away from home which even includes a poodle called Lucas! Trendy rooms - we stayed in Room 2 and had a great view of the beach. Bathroom was a little small but serviceable. Parking is limited but can be reserved. Continental breakfast was included in the price and...

We spent one night there recently as we love Coogee and were collecting family from the airport. We had a King room, which was well appointed, even though it had no sea view. We had a friendly reception by the staff and check in was quick and easy. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price. This was...

Dive hotel was perfect for what we needed. A quick weekend visit where intended to be out of the room most of the time. The location is perfect. Really easy to get to.. about $40-50 in a cab from the airport, plenty of buses to eastgardens, randwick or bondi junction for connections. The hotel is clean, staff were pleasant but...

I stayed here for two nights for a work trip to Sydney. The location was fantastic - directly opposite the water and well-located to my conference venue. The place (a converted boarding house, I believe) was cute and quirky and the staff were excellent, insisting on helping me with my bags upon finding out I was pregnant. Some positives: -...

Staying in Coogee

Neighbourhood Profile
Coogee
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
