Accommodation in the Blue Mountains was booked out, so we opted for a night at the Clarendon. Rooms were very basic, but clean. There were warnings about steam from the shower and the capacity to set of fire alarm which would incur a hefty fine for the customer. I imagine the room would be tolerable if one was also attending...

We were a bit late in booking so paid way too much for our room but that aside, if things were comfortable I wouldn't have minded too much. Our bed was so creaky and loud that just the smallest of moves sounded like someone was jumping on the bed. We were told the room was "usually just used for staff",...

Just arrived home from a three day stay at the Clarendon. We were given (as booked) a 6 bed family room in the guesthouse. I'm not sure how this part of the accommodation remotely qualifies for the given rating. The room was very old, with tired and dated furniture, freezing bathroom, and carpet in dire need of replacement. We aired...

An old guesthouse but comfortable enough and reasonably well priced. Lots of character that comes with an older building. Was in a very convenient location- just around the corner from the Main Street, we left the car there for the weekend and walked everywhere enjoying a beautiful winter weekend.

We stayed in the motel section as we requested a quiet room with ensuite. It was a smallish, dark room with a tasteless glittery bedspread, erk!. It was clean enough and there was heating and a TV. There is inadequate parking -even on check in we couldnt park in front of our room, and by the evening had to park...

$140 for a double private en suite room is good value in Katoomba. The rooms were clean and spacious, if a little dated. The shower was nice and hot but could have been more powerful. Big TV and good wifi. Continental breakfast included (which we didn't sample). A short walk to town which is good for the evening. Parking was...

Were do we start? We booked 2 rooms - after being in residence for half an hour we were about to do our $250 and get in the car and flee what was an atrocious example of "hospitality". The rooms were unclean, uncomfortable, unattractive and with paper thin walls we got the luxury of hearing a man fart and sigh...

Just stayed at this place last night and it was disappointing that we sent $160 for the night in a room with a double bed and a single and I'd rather have slept in the car. Although the room was clean enough, the bed was so soft and flat that i had to sleep in the single bed. The air-con...

We had a budget room on the top floor with a shared bathroom. Room nice and tidy. Clean blankets and sheets. Comfy bed. Nice old style furniture giving character to the hotel. Toilet and bathroom was a bit old but all tidy and clean. There was a concert on one of the nights we were there and we didn't hear...

Old building you can hear others in rooms around you. Shared bathrooms & no heater or aircon however electric blanket keeps you warm. Loud door with old decor throughout hotel. Free continental breakfast but had to fight for a seat as it was busy being the long weekend. This was the only room left in Katoomba I could find for...
