I've spend there for 4 nights. I wish i could have stayed more, but i had only a limited amount of time for my australia trip. The House and the interiour was a little bit old fashioned but completly working and well maintained. Kitchen and Bathrooms were clean. Beds wunderfull. Free breakfast, free Wifi. Almost every evening someone cooks dinner on...

This is by far one of the best hostels I have stayed in during my travels throughout Australia. The manager was incredibly helpful and friendly, and spent a decent amount of time recommending what walks we should do in the Blue Mountains, and gave us lots of information about the social events happening on an evening at the hostel (e.g....

Before I start, I can't comment on the hostel itself. We booked to camp on the site. We had booked 3 spots in the garden. When we arrived, there were only 2 spots available, and theses were both on a gravel driveway. Obviously no good for lightweight tents. We were then recommended to simply squeeze into two tents and manage....

I had the most awesome time staying at the Flying Fox. The place felt more like a home than a hostel, and the people more like family than just fellow travellers. It's relaxed, warm and good wholesome fun. The owner and staff are kind and really helpful. I can't wait to go back.

I have been to this hostel twice already. Unlike some other hostels that I've been to, this one has a homey and cozy feel that even a backpacker travelling from the other side of the world will feel at home. The location is superb, the little fire they make every night is heartwarming and best of all , the people...

We stayed here for 1 night but I wish we could have stayed for more. The hostel location was brilliant for the blue mountains. The owner who greeted us was very friendly, very welcoming and very helpful. He showed us around, a map of the area as well as all the best places to see and go. In the evening...

I planned to stay in The Flying Fox for 2 nights, but I had such a good time there so I decided to stay longer. It is a small and very sociable backpackers, with pasta night once a week and social time between 18:00 and 21:00 every day (so no smartphones allowed). The owners and staff were very friendly and...

I had a really good time in this cozy place. And i can recommend it to everyone who likes small and familiar places. There is no tv, no forbidden signs and a socialtime. As i arrived there the owner offered tea and coffee and in the evening while everyone was sitting at the bonfire he joined us. It's just a...

Staying in the flying fox feels more like in someone's home. Real homey kitchen and living room with a fireplace make a warm feel. It wasn't cold even in the winter. They have a radiator in the room and nice thick blankets. Could use another bathroom, but everything goes in a slower pace in that small town. So take your...

Besides the train passing every 20 mins and younglings on their phones to their parents into the early hrs right outside your bedroom door...the bed that's what. Nothing sucks more than having to wake up with a sore back and spending $70 for the privilege. And who serves breakfast at 8? Spend $20 extra somewhere else.
