The Cecil Guesthouse is one the nicest guest houses I have ever stayed at. The place was spotlessly clean, fresh and has lovely timeless quality of a bygone era. The games area and gardens were lovely and really added something to our stay. The location is excellent making this a perfect place to stay when visiting the Blue Mountains.

We stayed here for 3 nights and although it was quite old fashioned and could have done with a lick of paint, the service was great and the location was fab. Breakfast was great, with lots of choice! Loved the raisin toast! Bathrooms were cleaned on the top floor but a bit scary and cold on the bottom floor. This...

Besides the central location in town, the clean & cosy rooms, the warm beds, the fire place, the views from the windows, the superb grounds around the guesthouse, the best part of The Cecil is the staff. Small in number but big on service! With the redecoration in full swing, the visitors after us, will discover an even better and...

After walking past the entrance twice (it's hard to find) we found our little Gem. I had one night, just my daughter and I, and I wanted cheap accommodation, somewhere to lay my head. At $80 for my room, I couldn't have done better. It's old (which I liked), it's quaint, and like stepping back in time, but the place...

I loved my stay at this old style guesthouse. Everything provided in my room ~ bedding extra pillows and blankets efficient heater clean towels.. Cecil GH is cozy and comfortable with lots of old world charm. Coming 'home' after a big day it was so delightful to join other guests around the fire for a late night snack and catch...

Just had a fab weekend at the Cecil. Yes she is old but she has so much character I felt at home. The bed was warm thanks to the electric blankets and me and my friends soaked up the warmth of the combustion heater. Great location for shopping. Please book me in for next year.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cecil. Our room was comfortable and clean with a lovely view over katoomba. Breakfast is basic but good, and served downstairs in a carpeted lounge with an old stage set! Admittedly, visiting in winter, we had to sit right by the electric fire to keep warm/melt the butter for our toast! There is another...

The charm and character of the Cecil is what makes a stay there so lovely. The price suggests it is fairly basic but it was comfortable. We found a warm nook each night to watch telly or play board games or read. The rooms were clean and comfortable and warm. It is not a big busy place even during peak...

I don't write the words 'worst place we have EVER stayed at without serious consideration as to what this means. So, why was it the worst place we have ever stayed at. The four of us found the photos charming as were the email correspondences...and that is the only positive thing I can say. The beds were terrible and we...
