Excellent facilities and views from outdoor areas. Very close to key blue mountains attractions and transport for tours and train station. Very clean kitchen and bathing areas. I am staying in a 4 room share in spring time and am the only one in it :) so I can't speak for the share component. Regardless of weather, the rooms have...

Very friendly staff. The lounge room with couches, bean bags and fireplaces really made it relaxing. Stayed for a week and did a different hike every single day. The kitchen was set up well and fully stocked with everything needed. Met some extremely great people and groups. Honestly, this has been my favorite hostel so far. Rob (manager) really made...

I wasn't surprised to see that not one negative review about the YHA (Katoomba). After an extremely wonderful time spent at the Sydney YHA, we thought we try our luck at the Katoomba equivalent due to the overpriced hotels and B&B's in the area.. What a fantastic facility...clean, warm, comfortable, inviting, friendly and accommodating staff. I will only stay there...

As a tour guide, I stay at dozens of hostels around Australia - Spending more time in these hostels, motels and campgrounds than I do in my own bedroom! I regularly see the full spectrum available with hostels in every state of Australia..... Some are great some okay and some are terrible. Blue Mountains YHA is a new addition to...

We arrived about 12:30 to a vacancy sign outside saying double and family rooms available. We went to reception to be told check-in was after 2pm. The first time ever in 5 weeks in Australia we could not check-in at a YHA on arrival, even before noon. It was obvious it was not full as you could see large amounts...

Not a lot to say other than the room was quite big and the beds were comfortable. The facilities where in good condition and very clean. There is a very comfortable TV room with lots of space to hang out and a large main hall type space off the reception which leads to the (also large) kitchen as well as...

I loved this hostel. It actually feels more like a hotel - an old English country house at that. There's a very nice lounge (with a fire place, for winter nights, very cosy!), a great terrace and a clean kitchen. I stayed in a double room, impeccably clean. Staff is very friendly, and all sights as well as the railway...

Great long weekend here with friends. Cosy and warm with big kitchen that never felt too crowded. Plenty of sofas to relax in after spending days exploring various walks. Close to good restaurants - recommend the pizza place at the top of the street (cheap and cheerful). Comfy room and quiet so could sleep in a couple of mornings. Friendly...
