The location is perfect, super close to the station and town center. It is only a 20 minute walk to the Echo Point and the Three Sisters. The reception was helpful but could be a little more friendly. Check-in is only to 6pm, after that everything is closed. Wifi password changes everyday, so you have to get it in the... More

Comfortable room and modern amenities, but what is making this guesthouse out of the ordinary are the common spaces available to all guests, kept in a pristine early 1900 setting. It gives this guesthouse a lot of character

We were lucky to have got a room at this hotel at the last minute. Wonderful room, wonderful facilities and also just across the road from the train station. The hotel is also very reasonably priced. Had a fantastic stay and would definitely visit again

This hotel is full of charm and brilliantly located. We had the best time ever there, and I will definitely be going back again. Love it!!! The shops and restaurants and music venues are minutes walk away, but you also get great view and a delightful park directly opposite.

A bit quirky from the outside, but a rather beautiful 1930's hotel inside ... Lounges, library, games room; stained glass windows, coving and plaster-work. Clean and well maintained with very friendly staff and a good value and quality set menu (should you want it). Car park is small, but street parking nearby was easy for us. The bathroom door in... While all the room facilities were acceptable (but the bathroom was small for a big person), we were disappointed with the poor customer service provided when we asked about the tickets to the local hop on-hop off bus. We were only staying for a day and was told by front desk lady the tickets they had were good for a... More

We wanted to have a good feed , but we're over going to the restaurants in Katoomba st. The Metropole was a nice surprise. Went I first walked in I noticed its beautiful Art Deco architecture and a piano player playing 1040's standards really help set the scene. I felt like I was talking a step into the past. The... Great wooden mountain style place! We had a "set menu" dinner with great Australian white wine. The fish was tasty and the piano music fit the atmosphere! The bar is rich with a lot of drinks. The service was great with warm and family-like atmosphere. Enjoy!

Was going to book this guesthouse however after exchanging a few emails with the receptionist, regarding the prices on third party websites being cheaper than booking direct, they point blank refused to even match the price of third party booking sites for the exact same room! Crazy, considering these third party sites also get 15%+ commission on these bookings! Never... More
