My wife and I stayed at the Stranraer Homestead for 2 nights. We had a marvelous time. We don't normal stay in Bed and Breakfast type places so we were a little apprehensive, but Lyn and Graham quickly put us at ease. They made us feel at home. We had incredible meals, all prepared by Lyn and very entertaining conversations....

As part of our overnight trip to Kangaroo Island with Exceptional Kangaroo Island (see separate five star review) we stayed at Lyn and Graham's delightful home. This is a lovely house, wonderfully decorated and furnished throughout, with our bedroom and bathroom delightful. Our dinner and our breakfast were superb - so well prepared and presented by Lyn who obviously loves...

Wonderful stay here on a working sheep station - Lyn and Graham went out of their way for us. Lyn's food was truly excellent - cuisine standard (go on a mini diet before you go there!!) and Graham was informative and delighted in showing us around his land. We saw kangaroos and possums and a wonderful night sky with him....

We were lucky enough to stay here on our two days/one night trip to the South Island, thanks to our tour organiser who knows that we love to include a homestay if possible. This was certainly as good as any that we've visited previously across the world. Lynne & Graham were the perfect hosts and have a beautiful home which...

Lynne and Graham are the prefect hosts and do everything they can to make your stay a lovely experience. Lynne is a great cook and the food we had was always delicious and well presented along with local wine. The property is beautifully restored, there is interesting information about previous generations of the family who have worked the farm. Our...

This house has been in the family for over 100 years. They have farmed the land also as long. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with private bathrooms and little touches of days gone by in photographs, watercolors and music. In the hall hang oilskin coats and a tiny schoolboy's woolen jacket from the owner's childhood. The lady of the...

Top marks out of everywhere we stayed on our trip through southern Australia. The house itself is fabulous. The bedrooms are very grand, like sleeping in Grandma's Feather Bed! It's the hospitality that makes the place though. Lynn's cooking is superb and the night-time "safari" around the farm with Graham produced the best wildlife sightings of the trip. The whole...

The true feel of Australia staying in a deluxe Bed and Breakfast which is a working sheep farm. All the furnishings are from the original era. Breakfast starts with local home made dishes prepared by Lyn, fresh baked bread and fruit, then if you have room, eggs. You get the choice of dinner selections, all prepared like a gourmet restaurant,...

We are so lucky to have been booked into Stranraer Homestead by our travel agent at Down Under Travel. Our hosts ,Lynn and Graham Wheaton, were wonderful. Graham still farms the land that has been in his family for 4 generations. The rooms are huge and beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and beautiful toiletries. We had an ensuite bath with...

Kangaroo Island was the finale of my wonderful time in Australia. I planned my tour through Kangaroo Island Odysseys and basically just looked at what they thought was the best and booked that. I traveled solo and stayed for two nights. It was my first time staying in a Bed & Breakfast. Graham picked me up from the airport, as...
