A very large plainly furnished room that was fine for a one night stay. The check in staff were a bit worn out and indifferent but it was a Friday evening. We actually had our evening meal in the adjacent Queenscliffe hotel as the excellent local bus driver tipped us off. And it saved me $15 on one meal alone....

Executive balcony rooms are worth the expense. Book for dinner in the buffet as it can get busy. Meals are expensive but the top of the range " K.I. Seafood Platter" looks magnificent. So it should, at $145 but you are treated with the best seafood in the world

We stayed in the penthouse with ocean views and pelicans flying right past our balcony around 5.30/6.00pm each evening after their feeding session. Beautiful to watch. Everything was very clean and the king bed a very comfortable and welcome relief after the days' activities. We ate at the hotel restaurant every night and every time the food was amazing and...

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment on the first floor. It had sea views and a full kitchen. Need to make sure you get the first floor as there is some confusion and you may land a ground floor one that is very average. The apartment was large, clean, well appointed and serviced. The food in the pub was...

On a recent trip to Kangaroo Island I had the pleasure at staying at this terrific hotel. It certainly ticks all the boxes for the weary traveler. Spacious and comfortable rooms with a dining room that would cater to all tastes. All this with terrific service from reception to those who service the rooms. It must be noted that there...

excellent humorous and pleasantly cheeky table waiter Josh. Swift and attentive with a very devilish sense of humour and a winning smile. Deserves promotion. Would go back for another pot pie just because of his attitude.

Kingscote is Kangaroo Island's main town. With only 1500 permanent citizens this hotel is surprisingly modern and comfortable. Well located looking over the sea, rooms are adequate and King beds are very comfortable. However, allocation is one bedside lamp for two and very high firm cushions. Ask for better and it will arrive, not without some discussion. Bathroom is modern...
