Travelling along the Great Ocean Road we stayed 1 night at a cottage. The cottage, Marriners is very wel equipped! Washing machine and dryer available! The next morning we had to light the fire because it was freezing cold! The views from the cottage are very beautiful; we saw a lot of different birds. Do your shopping before entering in...

We stayed in the Marriners Falls Cotages for two nights while doing the Great Ocean Road. Although it is a bit of an adventure to find the cottages (it takes you about 20 minutes of which 10 on an unsealed road) the cottages are very nice. Great views, nobody around you and plenty of space. The bedroom was spacious, simple...

My husband and I stayed in the Fern Cottage at Marriners Falls Cottages over the Melbourne Cup weekend. Overall we really enjoyed our stay but there are some elements that others may not like: - The cottages are on a private property that is approximately 11km from the township of Apollo Bay. The road up there yields gorgeous views but...

Waking up to the sound of kookaburras confirms that you have escaped from the hustle and bustle of city life. 2 couples enjoyed Marriners cottage for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet escape. We self catered, relaxed by the open fire and went for short walks ..... unfortunately the main walk was closed due to wet weather but this...

A perfect place to get away from the busy city and totally relax in a beautiful setting. Cottages are lovely and fairly remote, so you leave the world behind. They contain everything you could want but the highlight is the log fire. Take a good book with you!!!

Fern Cottage provided a comfortable home for our three nights of peace in a beautiful forest environment. Sue is a friendly host who provided advice on arrival and then left us to enjoy our quiet, comfortable, temporary home. There is a good sized fridge, good stove and a great little electric BBQ on the balcony. We ate in each night...

We travelled fromSydney to Apollo bay and inspite of the photographs, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the cottages were so beautiful! Everything was peaceful and picture perfect that we cant wait to go back again.

I live in Sydney with my family and took some days off to see Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road, but my main goal was to have some days of absolute peace to just do nothing and read. And I must admit, my three nights at Marriners Falls Cottages were just perfect! The cottage costs 180 AUD/night (independent of the...

Just returned from my birthday weekend at Marriner's Falls Cottages. We have been going to Marriners Falls Cottages for years now and the wonderful thing is that it's the same every time we go - just perfect. The view is incredible. In fact it's exceptional. You feel like you are the only people in the world and you completely forget...

“The best views are to be had at either the Fern or Marriners cottages. The other two are set in a lovely wooded setting, but they don't have the spectacular views of the surrounding hills like the other two.”

“Choose the top cottage - Fern - as it's the most private and noone drives past.”
